We would like to announce to those who are interested in the 12-step literature in Haitian Creole for support groups that publication has begun. To kick off this initiative, we would like to share some of the foundational literature that has already been translated and will be published on adultchildren.org. We also have a Haitian Creole support group meeting in the works, and we will make periodic announcements as we approach the launch date. Please click the link below to access some of the literature. If you would like to join this initiative, we encourage you to send us a message.

As we gear up for the holiday season, we have a few projects in the works, some are small, some are big, but all of them are intentional. In addition to modeling our work after the Meals on Wheels America program by providing nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks to families and individuals in different communities around the world, we will also engage in new fundraising possibilities to ensure that our reach is far and wide.

This beautiful celebration of "Union des Dames" took place at L'Eglise de Dieu de Fontamara 27, where this wonderful group of women was able to gather together and celebrate their efforts towards helping the community in Port au Prince with food donations, mission trips, intercession, words of encouragement, and more.

We are eternally grateful to be able to partner with them to make a difference in the Haitian communities ravaged by gang violence, political instability, economic crises, and more.

Thank you L'Eglise de Dieu de Fontamara 27.

*Testimony from our sponsee*

I just want to say a big *THANK YOU* from the bottom of my heart. Your support meant everything to me during my white coat ceremony. Even from far away, you made me feel close — not just with your words, but through your generous heart.

The money you sent helped me prepare and made my day extra special. But more than that, it reminded me that I have someone who truly believes in me, who stands by me no matter the distance.

I wore my white coat with pride, knowing your love and support helped carry me to that moment. I’ll never forget what you did for me.

May God bless you abundantly. I love you so much, and I’m so grateful for you.

With all my love,

-Admira

After much adversity, struggle, and too many obstacles to name, our sponsee, Admira, has graduated from her program and received her white coat. Proud is an understatement; we cannot express the pride and joy we feel knowing that this young woman was able to accomplish something so phenomenal.

Congratulations Admira!

We want to thank CWS + CWS South Florida for inviting us to a wonderful luncheon where we discussed pathways to success that included support for refugees, asylum seekers, humanitarian parolees, and many of the individuals and families seeking a legal status in the United States.

For those of you who asked we wanted to share this piece of information that we learned during our discussions:

If you have a scheduled court appointment related to your status in the U.S. it is very important that you go with a legal advocate. In some cases your attorney or certified advocate may be able to arrange a Zoom court hearing for those who are fearful of being detained unlawfully.

Most importantly if you are detained it is much easier for your advocate to get you out of detention than have your case reopened if you miss the appointment and your case is closed.
