Overtown Business Association The Mission of the Overtown Business Association is to create viable Business and Economic Development Amongst Overtown Businesses.

The Overtown Business Association was created March 2013 with a Mission to create viable business & economic development amongst Overtown businesses and entities and to help increase local and tourist consumerism. Some of the objectives of the OBA is to build & enhance new and existing businesses within the Overtown Community and to help them expand and thrive. The OBA is an alliance of business

es that have come together pooling their resources to ensure businesses have the tools and funding they need. Businesses who would like to become members would need to be up to date with their State of Florida Article of Incorporation, all City of Miami and Dade County certifications, and be located within the Overtown Boundaries. OBA Meetings occur the second Tuesday at Greater Mercy Missionary Baptist Church 1135 NW 3rd Avenue Miami, Florida 33136 at 2pm. Interested businesses would need to submit an application and pay dues of $50 a month. Future plans of the OBA include creating an Overtown Chamber of Commerce, Opening a warehouse where local businesses can purchase their goods, and equipping businesses with the technology and visual media to help them compete.
