Perrysballoons provided all of the beautiful decorations for the 305 Teddy Back-to-School event, and I will be forever grateful and honored for their generosity and support.

Not only did they create an incredible experience for thousands of children and families, but they also dedicated their time to serving our community by staying with 305 Teddy throughout the entire event. Their passion, professionalism, and heart truly made a difference.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Perry Balloons, for believing in our mission and helping us bring smiles to so many children.

Before July comes to an end, I want to reflect on what I experienced this month.

On July 27, I was reminded that the art of giving is not about awards, recognition, or applause. It is about having a heart so full of love that you can't help but pour it into others.

That day gave me something no trophy or title ever could—the privilege of serving. It reminded me why God placed me on this earth: to love people, to give hope, and to make sure every child knows they matter.

I am incredibly grateful to the commissioners and everyone who believed in me and trusted 305 Teddy with the opportunity to serve our community. Your faith in this mission means more than words can express.

People often ask me, "Why do you keep doing events this big? Why not do something smaller? How can you give when your own plate isn't full?"

My answer is simple.

God feeds me every single day. Even when others think my plate is empty, He continues to provide. And if my plate ever is empty, I will still find a way to fill it—because I would rather share half of what I have with someone who has nothing than keep it all for myself.

This journey hasn't been easy. I experienced doubt, sadness, disappointment, and moments where people participated expecting something in return. But through it all, my heart never changed.

I am simply me.

A girl who grew up in Little Havana. A little girl who remembers her streets, her church, her park, and the people who shaped her life. Everything 305 Teddy does is because I never forgot where I came from. Giving back isn't a project for me—it's the air I breathe.

As July comes to a close, I don't celebrate numbers. I celebrate every smile, every hug, every prayer, every volunteer, every sponsor, every child, and every family we were blessed to serve.

There was something truly special about bringing the 305 Teddy Back-to-School event to Henderson Park.

As I stood there watching thousands of children smile, I couldn't help but remember being a little kid myself—walking through this very park, handing out ice cream and dreaming of making a difference one day. I never imagined that years later, God would allow me to come back and serve this community in such a beautiful way.

305 Teddy is more than an event where we give away backpacks and supplies. It's a movement built on love, unity, and purpose. It's about neighbors, volunteers, sponsors, city leaders, and organizations coming together as one family to create unforgettable moments for children who deserve them.

When we join forces, we can create something far bigger than any one of us could ever do alone. Together, we made Henderson Park come alive with hope, joy, and love—and this is only the beginning.

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, partner, elected official, and supporter who believed in this mission. You helped turn a childhood memory into a dream fulfilled.

On July 25th, something truly special happened in the heart of Little Havana.

305 Teddy had the incredible honor of serving 3,000 children at Henderson Park during our Back-to-School event. Thanks to the generosity of 52 amazing sponsors, thousands of children and families received backpacks, school supplies, resources, and, most importantly, love and hope.

We are incredibly grateful to Mayor Eileen Higgins, Commissioner Vicky Lopez, and Commissioner Escalona. Your unwavering support, trust, and dedication to our community helped make this event possible. Thank you for believing in the mission of 305 Teddy and for standing alongside us as we served the children of Little Havana.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible hosts, Isairis and Jesse Smiles. You were the voice, the energy, and the heart of this event. You brought our Sesame Street-themed celebration to life and created an unforgettable experience for every child and family in attendance.

Little Havana has always held a special place in the heart of 305 Teddy. Being able to serve families on these historic grounds is something we will cherish forever. Seeing thousands of smiling faces reminded us exactly why this movement exists.
