As many of you know, my heart has always had a very special place for our foster kiddos. ❤️

Lately, I’ve been completely wrapped up in events and especially planning our big Christmas event—something that takes months of work, preparation, and love.

But when Finka 305 and I got on the phone and I heard about this event for the foster kiddos, my heart simply couldn’t say no. I immediately told her, “Let me help you make this happen.” ❤️

These kids deserve more than just an event. They deserve a day filled with memories—food, music, a DJ, activities, laughter, and people showing them that their community cares about them.

So we got to work. We made the post, shared the need, and hoped for the best. I’ll admit, getting responses hasn’t been easy. But I’ve learned that sometimes all it takes is ONE good person, ONE good heart, to connect you with another good heart—and suddenly, things begin to happen. 🙏🏼

And that is exactly what happened.

We are incredibly grateful and honored that STIG International stepped forward to help us make this special day possible. Your support means more than simply sponsoring an event—it means helping us create a beautiful memory for children who deserve to feel celebrated, loved, and seen.

Today is the day God chose for me to come into this world—to live, to love, and to make a difference with the same love He has always shown me. ❤️

This picture may look like a simple birthday picture, but behind it is a story that changed my life forever.

It was taken on my birthday, but it was also one of the hardest days of my childhood. That was the day I was removed from my mother’s home because of the circumstances she was facing and placed in my guardian’s home.

A new beginning.
A new home.
A new opportunity.

But as a little girl, I didn't understand any of that yet.

I only knew that I had to leave everything behind. I wasn't allowed to take anything with me—not even my teddy bear. 🧸

That teddy had been given to me during some of my hardest moments. It represented comfort, love, and something I could hold onto when life didn't feel safe or certain.

That day, I couldn't take my teddy with me… so I carried it in my heart. ❤️

Looking back today, I understand that while I thought I was losing everything, God was beginning a new chapter in my life.

And maybe that's why a teddy bear means so much more to me today. 🧸❤️ It is more than a toy. It represents love in difficult moments, comfort when a child needs it most, and a reminder that someone cares.

So today, I celebrate TWO things:

🎂 The day God gave me life.

🧸 And the day He gave me a new beginning.

Every part of my story—the beautiful parts and the painful ones—has helped shape the woman I am today and the love I want to give back to others.

Happy Birthday to me. ❤️

And thank You, God, for turning one of the hardest days of my life into part of my purpose.

My teddy may have stayed behind that day…

but the love it represented never left me. 🧸❤️🙏

One of my scariest moments was this one. ❤️

Spanish can sometimes be hard for me, especially when I’m nervous, and trust me… I was SO nervous. 😭

Seeing Daisy in person was crazy to me. I remember seeing her on TV when I was younger, and when you’re a kid, anyone you see on television feels famous. But this moment meant even more because I remember my dad watching her.

And now, years later, she was interviewing me about something I love so deeply — Little Havana and 305 Teddy. 🧸❤️

Life really has a way of bringing things full circle.

I’m thankful for every single person who believed in me, supported this dream, and helped make 305 Teddy a family.

I always say: If you went through something hard, someone else will go through it too. But now you have the experience. Now you understand. And maybe you can be the person who helps them through it.

That’s why I do what I do.

I understand what it feels like to struggle. I understand what it feels like to need someone to believe in you. And if my experiences can help me give another family or another child a better moment, then everything I went through taught me something worth sharing.

305 Teddy is bigger than an event. It comes from everything I’ve lived, everything I understand, and everything I want to give back. 🧸❤️

Perrysballoons provided all of the beautiful decorations for the 305 Teddy Back-to-School event, and I will be forever grateful and honored for their generosity and support.

Not only did they create an incredible experience for thousands of children and families, but they also dedicated their time to serving our community by staying with 305 Teddy throughout the entire event. Their passion, professionalism, and heart truly made a difference.

Before July comes to an end, I want to reflect on what I experienced this month.

On July 27, I was reminded that the art of giving is not about awards, recognition, or applause. It is about having a heart so full of love that you can't help but pour it into others.

That day gave me something no trophy or title ever could—the privilege of serving. It reminded me why God placed me on this earth: to love people, to give hope, and to make sure every child knows they matter.

I am incredibly grateful to the commissioners and everyone who believed in me and trusted 305 Teddy with the opportunity to serve our community. Your faith in this mission means more than words can express.

People often ask me, "Why do you keep doing events this big? Why not do something smaller? How can you give when your own plate isn't full?"

My answer is simple.

God feeds me every single day. Even when others think my plate is empty, He continues to provide. And if my plate ever is empty, I will still find a way to fill it—because I would rather share half of what I have with someone who has nothing than keep it all for myself.

This journey hasn't been easy. I experienced doubt, sadness, disappointment, and moments where people participated expecting something in return. But through it all, my heart never changed.

I am simply me.

A girl who grew up in Little Havana. A little girl who remembers her streets, her church, her park, and the people who shaped her life. Everything 305 Teddy does is because I never forgot where I came from. Giving back isn't a project for me—it's the air I breathe.

As July comes to a close, I don't celebrate numbers. I celebrate every smile, every hug, every prayer, every volunteer, every sponsor, every child, and every family we were blessed to serve.
