Clean Water…Living Water Update: Sustainability. OBOV’s top priority is sustainability — ensuring the clean water systems we install continue serving communities year after year. Sustainability requires dedicated in-country teams who perform regular maintenance and periodic filter changes. Every time we change clogged, depleted filters, it has the same impact as the initial installation of the water system.
OBOV has nearly 300 water systems in service across countries including Haiti, Guatemala, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico, Tanzania, and Togo. They are installed at churches, schools, orphanages, hospitals, and community water stations and the majority have generated hundreds of thousands to millions of gallons of clean water.
We’re excited to share the latest examples of OBOV’s commitment to sustainability. In Guatemala, David Albizures performed system maintenance and filter changes at 25% of our 70 installed water systems in 3 days this past week. And in Haiti, Loubert Turenne, Makendy Paul, Isaiah Lapointe and their teams visited each of OBOV’s 35 solar-powered village water stations. They changed filters and interfaced with community leaders to make sure each project is meeting the water needs of the population adequately.
We praise God for these committed leaders who work faithfully to keep clean water flowing year after year. Their dedication brings lasting impact and opens ongoing opportunities to share the love of Christ.
As always, thank you for supporting OBOV. Your prayers and support make this sustainable ministry possible. If you feel led to partner with us in bringing clean water and hope to more communities, please consider donating at www.oneballonevillage.com/donate. God bless you!
