What an incredible experience!

The Overtown Business Association, Allapattah Collaborative CDC, Little Bahamas Main Street – Coconut Grove, and the City of Miami were proud to serve together as the Host Committee for the Florida Main Street Quarterly Workshop.

This 2½-day professional development experience brought Main Street directors, board members, partners, and community leaders from across Florida together to learn, share ideas, build relationships, and experience our Miami Main Street communities firsthand.

We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with representatives from communities throughout the state and especially proud of the way our host committee came together to welcome everyone to Miami.

A very special THANK YOU to all of our sponsors, partners, businesses, vendors, and supporters who helped make this experience possible. Your support allowed us to showcase our neighborhoods, local businesses, culture, history, and the collaborative spirit that makes our communities so special.

We were proud to be your hosts and hope everyone left Miami inspired, connected, and ready to continue strengthening Main Streets throughout Florida.

Thank you for helping us make this such a memorable experience!

For the Overtown Business Association page, I’d make it sound like the organization is recognizing you rather than you speaking about yourself.

A special moment at tonight’s Florida Main Street Business Networker at Tomorrowland! 💙

The Overtown Business Association was proud to present Metris Batts-Coley with the 2026 Community Impact Award in recognition of her continued support, service, and dedication to the businesses of Historic Overtown.

Metris continues to be a strong advocate for our business community, our history, and the future of Overtown. We appreciate her commitment to helping our neighborhood grow while keeping its legacy at the center of the work.

Congratulations, Metris! 🎉
