The blue canopy of the vast sky
is studded with stars innumerable,
and below the waves are rolling
on and on in a ceaseless succession.

The ocean heaves and Ganges murmurs, and the sun and moon play hide and seek.

The high Himalayas with
thundering clouds and storms and gales, the lightning and all that is wondrous
in heaven and in the world
and all that is beyond-sayeth Jyotirmaya,
