Moving with your pet this season? 🐾

During peak moving months in Miami-Dade, a safe and less stressful move starts before moving day.

Before the boxes come out, make sure your pet’s vaccines are current, their microchip information is up to date, their ID tags are secure, and any health or medication needs are planned for. Taking these steps early can help keep pets safe, calm, and close during a time of change.

FoMA is teaming up with and to provide FREE spay/neuter surgeries for owned dogs in Miami-Dade County on June 13 & 14, 2026, with a special focus on bully-breed dogs and the families who love them. 🐾

Spaying and neutering is one of the most effective ways to reduce pet overpopulation, ease overcrowding in local shelters, and support the long-term health and wellbeing of dogs in our community.

The best place for a loved pet is home. 🐾

At FoMA, we help Miami-Dade families keep their pets safe, healthy, and by their side by removing the barriers that too often force people to give up the animals they love.

Through medical grants, pet food support, free spay or neuter through Operation Pit Stop, and support for wellness care through the WOW Mobile clinic, FoMA connects pets and their people with the resources they need before a crisis becomes a surrender.

Because when families have access to support, pets stay out of shelters and where they belong: home. 💛

Even when hope feels out of reach, stories like his show us it’s never too late. 💙

Dash's adopter met him when FoMA sponsored more than 30 dogs at Somi Pet Resort during an unusual cold snap, and it was love at first sight. His doggy dad tells us that his experience with Dash has been great although Dash's enthusiastic zoomies were a little rough and tumble sometimes. He continues, "But with a little bit of training it's almost completely stopped. He's really opened up a lot showing me his goofy side, he's always ready to play. He gives us trouble eating sometimes, but I noticed if I bring his food to my room he'll eventually eat. He really enjoys the perks of having someone that works at Somi since he gets to join me at work and play with other dogs." - Ramiro Ramirez

Because someone chose to care, Dash got the fresh start he deserved.
