Spiritual Charge:
In this season God is challenging me to take an inward look at myself, to address "secret faults or hidden faults that I may not see.” Even more so, I need to deal with the proud sins that I am
carrying, or the ones that I am not repentant for.
The issue with any form of sin is the separation it creates between me and the God that I desire to be with. That distance is not God's will nor is it mine.
Therefore, in order to draw near to Him, I must let go of the sins that I am holding onto, willingly or unwillingly.
I challenge you that if you desire a deeper relationship with God that you ask Him to uproot bitterness, hate, and unforgiveness. At the end of the day, you create separation from God and separate yourself from God and His inheritance for you as His child.
Any offense or injustice done, present it before God and let it go.
Offense with leaders in Church, lift it before God and let Him correct and chastise. Remain clean and blameless before God and don’t gossip about them.
In order for reunification to occur, everyone must desire the same endstate: to obey God’s mandate in Matt 28:19-20, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
We can only accomplish this magnitude of a mandate by remaining in agreement with one another: We have one LORD, one Faith, one Baptism, 6 one God and Father of us all who is [sovereign] over all and [working] through all and [living] in all (Ephesians 4:5-6).
I challenge you all: Are you willing to submit and make the sacrifice for a deeper relationship with God?
