Last month, our Gang Alternative team had the privilege of sponsoring and attending the 11th Annual South Florida Behavioral Health Conference at the Diplomat Beach Resort Convention Center. We were honored to host a booth and share the many programs and services that make up the GA family.

From our Spin-the-Wheel game and GA merchandise giveaways to raffle drawings for GA gift baskets, the real highlight was connecting with community partners, professionals, and advocates who care deeply about youth and families.

Our staff also joined powerful sessions on mental health, youth engagement, and family engagement. We came away encouraged, informed, and even more committed to GA’s mission.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booth, participated in our activities, and took time to connect. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and partnerships.

BLOC students at Gang Alternative, Inc. honored Haitian Heritage Month with pride and purpose. From cultural discovery sessions to a vibrant Haitian Flag Day showcase, youth explored Haiti’s history, traditions, and resilience while deepening their own sense of identity, unity, and respect for diverse cultures.

This is how GA continues building young leaders who value inclusion, mutual respect, and community pride.

Last month, Project BRAVE brought Youth Violence Prevention Week to Westpine Middle School—reaching 150 students through interactive stations on managing emotions, resolving conflict, and making safe choices.

From honest conversations to fun scratch-off prizes 🎟️, students stayed fully engaged and connected these lessons to their own lives.

This was more than awareness. It was about showing up, building trust, and giving youth tools they can carry forward.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Gang Alternative, Inc.’s Project CAATS is reminding us that words matter. The way we talk about trauma, stress, and emotional struggles can either create barriers or open doors to healing—especially in communities carrying the weight of collective trauma. Let’s choose language that reduces stigma, builds trust, and supports healing across South Florida.

What a night! 🙌🔥

We had an incredible time at GA's Vous High Night! It was full of laughter, games, and music. It’s always powerful to see young people come together in a space where they can have fun, build real friendships, and grow in their faith.

Nights like these remind us that joy and purpose go hand in hand 💛

Already counting down to the next one!
