"Others May, You Cannot
If God has called you to be really like Jesus, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility, and put upon you such demands of obedience, that you will not be able to follow other people, or measure yourself by other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful, may push themselves, pull wires, and work schemes to carry out their plans, but you cannot do it; and if you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent.

Others may boast of themselves, of their work, of their success, of their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing, and if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

Others may be allowed to succeed in making money, or may have a legacy left to them, but it is likely God will keep you poor, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, namely, a helpless dependence on Him, that He may have the privilege of supplying your needs day by day out of an unseen treasury.

The Lord may let others be honored and put forward, and keep you hidden in obscurity, because He wants you to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade. He may let others be great, but keep you small. He may let others do a work for Him and get the credit for it, but He will make you work and toil on without knowing how much you are doing; and then to make your work still more precious, He may let others get the credit for the work which you have done, and thus make your reward ten times greater then Jesus comes.

The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch over you, with a jealous love, and will rebuke you for little words and feelings, or for wasting your time, which other Christians never seem distressed over. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign, and has a right to do as He pleases with His own. He may not explain to you a thousand things which puzzle your reason in His dealings with you, but if you absolutely sell yourself to be His love slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love, and bestow upon you many blessings which come only to those who are in the inner circle.

Settle it forever, then, that you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, and that He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue, or chaining your hand, or closing your eyes, in ways that He does not seem to use with others. Now when you are so possessed with the loving God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of Heaven."

Happy Saturday!

I have something (a tremendous joy!) on my heart that I wanted to share with each of you.

Yesterday was baptism Friday and 6 women were to be and were baptized. There was, as has become common and expected, uproar... utter chaos I the house. A precious staff member had been let go, a failed inspection and an upheaval amidst both the staff and clients, impelled a slur of emotions that had everyone consumed with uncertainty. To make matters worse, one of the clients also suffered a seizure and was hospitalized during the baptism. Two of the ladies initially wanted to back away from their decision to be baptized, yet through our prayers and love, they ultimately came forward and did so.

In spite of it all, we prayed, blasted the worship music and moved forward as the Holy Spirit poured unto and flooded the serenity garden, where every seat was occupied by clients, chaplains and staff members who joined us to witness how the Lord would show up… and show UP He did.
There was beautiful worship, and both chaplains Leticia and Samantha shared incredibly anointing words- and the baptism proceeded without a hitch. -But it wasn’t until the final step, while in our traditional “circle of love” that the Lord revealed His glory to us… His victory that day when one of the ladies baptized, spoke out and revealed that she had over dozed “TWENTY-TWO” (22) times prior and could not believe where she was now in her life - alive! That’s twenty-two times that satan wanted her under… gone; another soul under his belt– And that’s twenty-two times that Christ interceded and said: “Stand back, satan! She is mine!”

How many times has He and does He continue to do this for you and me?... I can’t speak for anyone else, but I can personally avow that had He not done the same for me, I would not be here today… writing these words; sharing this message.
The victory belongs to Jesus! The victory is will ALWAYS be HIS!! GO GOD! Yours is the glory… again and again!

“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:8 -9)

While plenty of women in the bible were strong, capable women, these ladies didn’t sit around waiting for someone else to get the job done. They feared God and lived faithfully. They did what they needed to do.God empowered all women to be strong and follow his call, and he used the actions of these women to inspire and teach us years later through the biblical text.
💃
A woman of faith trusts God and faces adversity with hope. She knows of His interest in her life. She knows that He knows her. She loves His words and drinks deeply of that living water.
💃
A woman of faith is confident because she understands the divine plan of our Heavenly Father and her role to bless lives.
💃
A woman of faith is fearless. She fears no evil, for God is with her. There is no ambiguity, no uncertain trump in her life.
💃
A woman of faith is blessed by faithful men in her life who hold the priesthood of God and honor this privilege: her father, pastor, husband, brothers, sons and grandsons. She knows she is made for greatness, and with this greatness, she will bless others... In Jesus' name.🙏🏻
.. Woman, know your worth.

Dear Agape Friends,

Agape will be having an event in July that you are invited to attend. (Please see attachment for information.) The goal of this event is to raise greater awareness of the miracles taking place within the Chaplaincy. As you know from personal experience, Jesus Christ is the continual message of hope that the chaplains of Agape provide, along with doling out plenty of wisdom, laughter, and hugs to the countless women who live there.

Besides hearing amazing testimonies from alumni clients, experiencing heartfelt worship, and listening to a short but Spirit-led message Laura and Dr. Hernandez will present, one of the most important goals the event will provide that day is the Kingdom Opportunity for businesses, ministries, and the friends of Agape, to become financial partners, either as one-time givers or ongoing. The needs of the Chaplaincy are great, and apart from partners who specifically give to it, there is no funding available to meet these ongoing needs. Perhaps you have a creative way you can provide for this need as well?

I want to personally invite you to come, hear, and once again experience the JOY that Jesus brings to those living, working and serving within the walls of Agape!
