Until there’s a cure, there’s a camp! Join Kesem at the University of Miami!

At Kesem at the University of Miami, we are always looking for new families to join our community. We serve all children ages 6-18 who have been impacted by a parent or guardian’s cancer, and support them through and beyond a cancer diagnosis. We have year round resources to help support your child including Kesem Together events, such as Friends and Family Day on UM campus, Kesem By Your Side care packages and birthday cards, and of course our week long Camp Kesem every summer!

Welcome to Kesem at the University of Miami!

Kesem is a nationwide community that supports children through and beyond their parents’ cancer. Led by passionate, trained student leaders from over 100 colleges nationwide, Kesem provides free overnight summer camp experiences and year-round support to over 10,000 children affected by a parent’s cancer. Kesem is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to this often-overlooked population of children. Through fun-filled and empowering experiences, Kesem helps children find support, courage, empathy, and joy as they face challenges no child should have to face. As the University of Miami chapter, we support over 70 children in the South Florida area and work to fundraise over $100,000 to do so.

Whether you want to help us fundraise within the UM and greater Miami community, become a Camp Kesem summer counselor or even just make new friends on campus, we have something for everyone!
