Do you give a Flock? 👀 Automated license plate readers are already being used in Miami-Dade, creating searchable vehicle data that can support law-enforcement investigations. But what they record, who can search the information, how long it is kept, and what Florida law actually allows are all important questions for residents.

We break down what’s true, what’s not, the legal basics, and why new privacy safeguards are making this story especially relevant now.

Swipe through and stay informed.

Early results are in. 🗳️ Miami-Dade voters headed to the polls today, and the first picture of the August 18 election is taking shape. Both City of Miami referendums are currently leading, several judicial races are developing, and some remain extremely close.

We’re also watching House District 113, where Bruno Barreiro and Gloria Romero Roses are set to face off in the November 3 general election after winning their respective party primaries.

Swipe through for the early results on the referendums, Circuit and County Judge races, HD 113 and other key Florida contests.

Important: these results are preliminary and unofficial. As of the latest Miami-Dade update, 764 of 772 precincts were reporting and vote-by-mail counting was still incomplete. Results can continue to change until the canvassing process is complete and results are certified.

Thank you to everyone who exercised their right to vote and made their voice heard. Your voice. Your community. Your vote.

🔥 Heat Advisory in Miami today. As we were walking through the scorching Miami heat on our way to train at BOXR Gym (BOXR Gym the best, btw 😏), we had one thought: imagine being a dog walking on this pavement.

When the air temperature is around 87°F, asphalt can reach roughly 143°F. And while we have shoes protecting our feet, our dogs don’t.

Their paws can burn quickly, and they feel the effects of extreme heat differently than we do. Walk on grass or in the shade whenever possible, bring water for them, keep walks shorter, and choose early morning or later evening when the ground has had a chance to cool down.

If it’s too hot for your bare feet, it’s too hot for their paws. 🐾☀️ Care for your animals. Miami heat is no joke. ❤️

Airbnb in Miami is not as simple as posting a listing. Zoning, city rules, state law, and condo or HOA restrictions all play a role in what is legal and what is not. We broke down what’s true, what’s not true, and what residents should expect as enforcement continues.

Leash up, Miami. 🐾

The City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, Animal Services and Parks & Recreation are reminding pet parents that dogs must remain on leash in public parks and spaces.

It keeps your dog, other pets and our neighbors safe, and helps you avoid a citation. For off-leash play and socializing, please use designated dog parks and fenced off-leash areas.

Be a good pet parent. Follow the rules. Pick up after them. Keep them hydrated. And when you’re out and about, leash up. 🐶

The Miami Police Department Miami Police Department and BOXR BOXR Gym brought women together for a powerful self defense course, and some of our BNA board members went to experience it firsthand.

Why? Because feeling prepared matters. The course was practical, empowering and a lot of fun, and we left feeling stronger, more confident and ready for whatever comes our way.

A huge thank you to Miami Police Department and Matthew Attalla , founder of BOXR Gym BOXR for the invitation and for putting together such an incredible program. We still have three more sessions to go, so we’ll keep you posted on our progress and let you know when we graduate. 💪

Miami’s condo market is entering a new era of scrutiny. Today, qualifying for a mortgage may depend not only on the buyer, but also on the financial and structural health of the entire condominium association. Reserves, insurance, deferred maintenance, inspections and association records are becoming increasingly important in the lending process.

For a city built vertically, this matters far beyond a single transaction. It can affect buyers, sellers, owners and ultimately the value and marketability of an entire building.

Swipe through to understand what is changing and why Miami condo owners should be paying attention.
