ICEP DC-Fly in Day 3!
Engaged Global Citizens visited the Washington Monument, one of the tallest self-standing buildings in the U.S that was build in memory of George Washington. Beautiful views from DC were experienced from his observatory.

The WWII Memorial then reminded us of our heroes that fought for our freedom 🙏🏻

One of our biggest highlights was the tour in the Capitol Grounds lead by a historian and storyteller! What an honor it was for our ICEP Engaged Global Citizens to spend the Capital grounds with Steven Livengood. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and expertise of this beautiful landmark that characterize our nation.

Day 1 was filled of amazing experiences for our ICEP Engaged Global Citizens! Thank you, Education USA and Cato, for your hospitality.
We had the honor of connecting with this wonderful organizations! At Education USA, our ICEP students were able to learn not only about global and intercultural education, but also about the work that Education USA does all over the world and the different Fulbright initiatives that engage our students and scholars on the global spectrum.
Cato Institute then provided us with an overview on their organization that truly engages in the influence of economics and education research! Thank you, Cato Institute, for expanding our knowledge on the great influence of educational research and for sharing about your work on affordable housing in the United States.

Our day ended with a visit to The White House because DC trips are never completed without visiting its famous attractions.

Wednesday was a day of celebration! Our ICEP members and Spirit Leaders were awarded their certificate of completion for all their hard work and contribution to the program during Spring 2022!
We celebrated Easter 🐣 and Ramadan 🌙 with different activities and learned more about Ramadan by our dear Fulbright Scholar . What a great semester we had together.
Thank you and for all your support and thank you to our community partners for all the opportunities. We are grateful for our students for all their hard work and dedication, and We look forward to seeing you in Fall 2022!

On Wednesday 23rd of March we had a combined event where honored Peer Mentos for their amazing work during Spring.

We also celebrated Pakistan Day 🇵🇰 facilitated by Fulbright Scholar . Thank you Pakistani’s students and scholars for sharing your traditions, culture and language! 🤩

And during the event we also had a bake sale to raise funds for our ICEP Culture & Language Day! 🧁 and we overpassed our goal! 🥳 P.S. Details on this event could be found in Rola’s email.

We not only shared a meal, talked, laughed, interacted with peers and mentors, but also wrote letters of encouragement for refugees and drawings & paintings for children in need! A big thanks to everyone who participated in this event and thank you CBF FIU for your partnership!
