This , St. John Bosco Clinic wants to share a few facts, and make an ask.
First, the facts:
🎗️ There are five main gynecologic cancers: cervical, uterine/endometrial, ovarian, vaginal, and vulvar.
👩 70% of St. John Bosco Clinic patients are women.
🩺 194 cervical cancer screenings were completed.
But here’s the part that matters: screenings only make a difference when women can access them.
For uninsured women in Miami-Dade County, the healthcare system can be difficult to navigate, as cost, transportation, language, and other barriers can stand between a woman and the preventive care she needs.
St. John Bosco Clinic helps remove those barriers by providing free healthcare, preventive screenings, education, referrals, support, and limited transportation to women who might otherwise go without care.
Now for the ask:
💗$50 will help pay for a cervical cancer screening for 1 woman.
