South Florida LCLAA

South Florida LCLAA To develop our members into community activists so that they feel empowered to take ownership of their communities and bring about change.

The South Florida Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (SF-LCLAA) understands Latin Americans are hard working and severely under-served; that the responsibility to empower working families resides with each of us, as a collective entity. The SF-LCLAA understands the labor movement has been the most effective ally in the achievement of our needs and aspirations as working people. The SF-LC

LAA understands that our foremost responsibility is to the Latino electorate and workers, our membership, friends, neighbors and families, and all others who cherish democracy. As working Floridians, we have found that the organizational and political experiences we have gathered in our unions, places us in a position to make substantial contribution to both the Latin American community, and to the labor movement in general. Accordingly, it is in this spirit that the SF-LCLAA was created – to achieve social dignity, economic and political justice, and a decent standard of living for every working Floridian. The SF-LCLAA will serve as a vehicle to attain the respect and equality to which every citizen of this great nation is rightfully entitled. When SF-LCLAA conducts its business according to the principles of operational effectiveness, transparency, and accountability – our membership, friends, neighbors and all other civic-minded individuals will realize a fair return on their investment, and our community reaps the benefits of full participatory democracy.
