Miami SCORES, Powered by Concacaf, is thrilled to become the 13th Affiliate within the America SCORES family, and offers after-school programs that support whole child development through the teamwork of soccer and the creativity of poetry.

Tomorrow, our Miami SCORES poet-athletes from our Miami-Dade Schools District 2 - MDCPS schools Home of the Cougars & Earlington Heights Elementary School will walk out as player escorts during the World Cup.
These students represent their school, their community, and the power of giving young people access to moments they will carry with them for life.
They are soccer players.
They are poets.
They are leaders.
They are part of Miami’s World Cup story.

Huge thank you to everyone who braved the storm and showed up for the FWC26Miami One Game One Passion Community Clinic hosted at Little Haiti Soccer Park!

Sunday’s session was led by Miami SCORES, Powered by Concacaf Program Director Will and Executive Director Rob, along with a very special guest, our inspiring Miami SCORES Ambassador Laura Biondo!

It was an inspiring day filled with community, connection, and meaningful conversations about how coaches can keep youth soccer fun while still developing players, and how to support every coach in building programming that serves both boys and girls! From shared ideas to in-the-classroom learning, this training was a strong reminder of what happens when people come together for the next generation of players! Great to see so many great community organizations from Little Haiti come together, including and !

And the great news keeps coming!

We’re honored to share that Miami SCORES has been one of the first organizations awarded a Little Haiti Revitalization Trust Placemaking Program grant.

This support will help us improve and continue running free soccer, poetry, and service-learning programming at our school partner , serving students and families in the Little Haiti community.

Through this award, we will keep creating spaces where youth learn, play, express themselves, and build confidence through Miami SCORES. This grant will specifically support our free Power of Poetry and Writing for the Community Program in Little Haiti!

Our Miami SCORES poet-athletes showed up ready to perform at the on April 25th for our Spring Poetry Celebration, in honor of National Poetry Month and as we got ready for Haitian Heritage Month, and they delivered!

Word after word, poem after poem, the youth across the country continue to share why this beautiful combination of soccer & poetry is so successful, as when we give youth a voice, the whole community comes together. We are so proud of all of the SCORES poet-athletes that joined us throughout the year!

Our Miami SCORES poet-athletes traded their pens for the pitch on Saturday, May 2, at !

They walked out as player escorts for the vs Tampa Bay Sun match and absolutely owned every second of it.

Thank you to for giving our youth this incredible moment.

And guess what? This is only the beginning. Keep your eyes open this summer. As we shared yesterday, our poet-athletes will be back as player escorts during the World Cup!! Yes, THE World Cup.

We’re proud to share that 88 young people from Miami SCORES will be part of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Player Es**rt Program!

They were chosen from our community because of the values, commitment, and contributions they show every single day.

During the tournament, they’ll walk onto the pitch alongside some of the biggest soccer players in the world — a huge moment for them and for all of us.

This opportunity is made possible through a partnership between Quaker and Common Goal, connecting young people from communities across the United States to FIFA World Cup 26™.

Last Friday, Miami SCORES brought together leaders from the Miami soccer, corporate, and nonprofit communities for our 2026 Legacy Breakfast at the Concacaf offices to discuss what a meaningful World Cup legacy in Miami could look like. ⚽✏️🌎

Miami SCORES Board Members .roche_mia and supported planning an inspiring morning, with so many special panelists and supporters in the room! A huge thank you to our panelists, Andrea Clavel , Philippe Moggio and the Colombian soccer legend for leading an engaging conversation on the impact of soccer in building community here in Miami.

Another thank you to , , and Rob Uvanovic , for talking about how the legacy of this World Cup will hopefully be shining through at Miami SCORES for many years to come, and about the impact soccer can have in underserved communities. We know that so many Title I schools are eager to bring great programming to their schools now, and we’re ready to do our part.
