Today, participants of the 2026 South American–African Astronomy Coordination Committee (SA3CC) Meeting had the opportunity to visit the Angola Cables data center in Fortaleza.

The visit highlighted the critical role that advanced international network infrastructure and subsea connectivity play in enabling global scientific collaboration, high-performance computing, and data-intensive astronomy research between US, South America, and Africa.

A sincere thank you to the Angola Cables team for the warm welcome, insightful discussions, and for showcasing the technologies that help power the future of international research and education networks.
