Tory Young with the stated mission of "providing emergency assistance, mentoring, life coaching, social services and advocacy for those experiencing homelessness, low-income individuals, and young adults who identify as LGBTQ at risk in Miami-Dade, Florida." The Foundation was originally named TEARS Foundation. This initial name was inspired by the abundance of individual interactions in which M

r. Tory Young shared and experienced while volunteering in a local homeless shelters and outreach campaigns in the city and county of Miami-Dade. During the initial weeks Mr. Tory Young recalls, "...many interactions filled with emotional fuel. This fuel would often lead me to tears. ", quoted in a local blogger's online text. While becoming oriented with consumers, organizational policies, and standard operation procedures Mr Young's passion to support those less fortunate came to life as he began to identify best practices to offer assistance and provide humanitarian services to poor and homeless men, women and children in Miami-Dade County .

“It is easy to point out what’s wrong or identify broken systems in our community. However, it’s more important to ask myself, what am I doing to make a positive change in the lives of those living in our community?”, quoted Mr. Young in a local online interview. This personal challenge and move to activism prompted Mr. Tory Young to take inventory of his personal life, ask God for guidance, and actively be the change he wanted to see in the world. Mr.Tory Young with TYoungFoundation® empowers others to share their personal mission and vision and encourages believing the difference between the possible and impossible, lies in the person’s determination.
