We are sending positive energy to everyone in our NLC family impacted by Hurricane Irma. As we unite in recovery during the aftermath, we want to share some helpful resources for those who want to help, courtesy of our friends at The New Tropic.

Donate locally/where to volunteer:

We are postponing this week's recruitment events but stay tuned and we will be back in touch ASAP with the next opportunity to get together with our Miami family. Our community - and our state - need us now more than ever. Let's do what we do best: build (and rebuild) for the future.

Find out how to donate and volunteer with Miami organizations and non-profits for Hurricane Irma relief and recovery efforts.

Daniel de Leon is a Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs. He joined NLC because he felt that it was his duty as a young professional to do more for the Miami community and that NLC could provide him the tools to create long term change.

Daniel believes that Miami can be improved by involving the private sector in community engagement, and by introducing private sector solutions to the public sector.

According to Daniel, having a strong network of likeminded individuals is what brings meaningful community change. With the tools that NLC has provided him with, Daniel hopes to make a difference while living in Miami.

Meet Daniel and our other fellows TONIGHT at our New Leaders Council Fundraiser! Tickets can be purchased at http://bit.ly/2simpLt .
