Love is definitely a verb.

Earlier this month, we had the joy of welcoming back our friends from Ministerio Misiones.

This was their second time coming to serve with Bridge To Hope, and once again, they brought enthusiasm, humility, kindness, and helping hands.

What moved us most was what they shared with us.

They told us they love working with Bridge To Hope. They love seeing how much care, dignity, and love is offered to the neighbors who come through our facility.

That means so much to us.

When volunteers feel that spirit, they’re not just helping us distribute food. They’re becoming part of the love that families feel when they arrive here.

To our friends at Ministerio Misiones: thank you for coming back. Thank you for serving with such generous hearts. Thank you for seeing the beauty in this work.

And yes, we loved your parting words:

“Nos vemos pronto!!”

We sure hope so. 💜

Most of us don’t think twice when we open a laptop.

We check an email, pay a bill, look up a doctor’s office, join a video call, fill out a form, or send a message to someone we love.

But for many seniors, those simple tasks can feel stressful when they do not have a reliable device of their own or someone patient nearby to help them get comfortable.

This beautiful moment from Bridge To Hope’s Digital Lab shows several seniors receiving and getting acquainted with their new laptops through our Free Laptop Loaner Program, part of our Digital Bridge initiative.

Our facilitator was close by, helping them set things up, answering questions, and making the process feel a little less intimidating.

Because the laptop is only part of the gift. The encouragement matters too. So does the patience. So does the trusted space where someone can learn without feeling rushed, embarrassed, or left behind.

So much of daily life now assumes digital access: healthcare portals, benefits, banking, family communication, community updates, forms, classes, and basic information. When seniors do not have reliable access, they can become more dependent on others and feel more cut off from the world around them.

At Bridge To Hope, we believe our elders deserve better.💜

Through the Digital Lab and Free Laptop Loaner Program, we are helping seniors build confidence, stay connected, and participate more fully in everyday life.

This is not technology for technology’s sake.

It's care made practical.
It's one more way Bridge To Hope helps neighbors move from being left out to being included.

Because Love Does 🙂

Today, we remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Behind every name was someone deeply loved. Someone expected home. Someone whose absence changed a family forever.

Today, we remember those who did not come home. We hold their families in our hearts, and we remember what they gave everything to protect.

And we remember that gratitude should shape how we live.

Most of us will never be asked to bear that kind of cost. But we can choose to live with more humility, more compassion, and a deeper sense of duty to our neighbors and our country.

From all of us at Bridge To Hope, may this be a day of remembrance, gratitude, and quiet resolve.

Three ADP volunteer groups in recent weeks?

At this point, we’re somewhere between incredibly grateful and completely agog! 💜

This past rainy Tuesday, another remarkable team from ADP came to Bridge To Hope to help during our food distribution appointments.

And once again, they showed up with energy, warmth, good humor, and the kind of enthusiasm that makes hard work feel lighter.

Not even heavy rain could dampen it.

When families come to Bridge To Hope for support, they are not only receiving food. They are seeing a wider community choosing to stand with them.

They see our staff.
They see our volunteers.
And this week, once again, they saw people from ADP giving their time and care with real joy.

That kind of support says something powerful:

You are not alone.
Your needs matter.
Your community has not forgotten you.

To our friends at ADP: thank you for showing up once, then again, then again.
Thank you for bringing joy into this work.

Thank you for helping us remind families that hope does not come from one organization alone. It comes from a community willing to keep showing up.

You are extraordinary partners.

And yes, we are still agog. 🙏🔥

Bridge To Hope is deeply grateful to the Ocean Reef Community Foundation (ORCF) for awarding us a $50,000 grant to support our Homestead Food Pantry Hub and Home Food Delivery programs.

Our Lucas Metropulos had the honor of representing Bridge To Hope at the Foundation’s awards ceremony and accepting this generous grant on behalf of the neighbors, families, seniors, volunteers, and staff who make this work possible.

This support will make a real difference in deep South Dade.

It helps strengthen our food access work in and around Homestead and Florida City.

It helps make possible the food distribution Bridge To Hope holds at Redland Christian Academy in Homestead on the third Saturday of every month, bringing food and care closer to families who need support.

It also strengthens our home food delivery work, helping us reach neighbors for whom getting to a pantry may be difficult.

We also want to celebrate the Ocean Reef Community Foundation itself.

The Foundation’s 2026 Off Reef Community Grants represent nearly $2.7 million in support for nonprofit organizations serving the Upper Keys, Homestead, and Florida City.

That is remarkable.

It's a powerful example of a community using its resources to strengthen the places and people around it.

To the Ocean Reef Community Foundation and the generous community behind this support: thank you!

Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for investing in deep South Dade. Thank you for helping Bridge To Hope bring food, care, and hope closer to the families who need them.

We are honored to steward this gift. 💜

Please join us in thanking the Ocean Reef Community Foundation!

Today was a beautiful day for Bridge To Hope. 💜

We joined Good Neighbor Day America by doing what we are grateful to do every week: serve our neighbors with care, dignity, and joy.

At two Miami-Dade sites, volunteers and partners helped move food, serve families, and bring care within reach of neighbors who needed support today.

And we have to give a very special shout-out to the amazing volunteers from UPS , who brought joyful energy, helpful hands, and generous hearts to the day.

What a gift to serve alongside people who came ready to work, ready to encourage, and ready to make a difference. Their mantra, “United As One,” is one we love and share.

Thank you, UPS ! 🙏

The images from today are joyful because the work is joyful.

Not easy, mind you. Not decorative. But joyful in the way service can lift our hearts when we give our time and energy freely, and see up close that our presence mattered.

Days like this stay with you. You see people serving with joy, helping families feel cared for, and reminding us that hope is not complicated. It looks like good people showing up with open hands and generous hearts.

So to every volunteer, partner, and friend who stood with us today: thank you!!!

Today reminded us why we love this work, and why we are so grateful for the people who do it with us.

C’mon, America. Can we make every day Good Neighbor Day?

💜 🙏 💪 🇺🇸

This Saturday, May 16th, Bridge To Hope will take part in Good Neighbor Day America, a nationwide day of service connected to America’s 250th anniversary.

Here in South Florida, we’ll be serving at two locations from 8:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., helping distribute food, support families, and stand with neighbors who need help right now.

We’ll be with our dear friends at Miami Vineyard Community Church and we’ll also be with our friends and partners at Redland Christian Academy in Homestead.

We would love to have you join us.

Volunteering with Bridge To Hope this Saturday will help get food to families who really need it. It will help those families feel seen, acknowledged, and cared for. And it will help us serve with greater strength and reach, because we truly cannot do this work without volunteers.

But generosity also does something beautiful in the person who gives.

It lifts the heart. It steadies the spirit. It reminds us that we are not as separate from one another as the world sometimes makes us feel. A few hours of service can reconnect us to our neighbors, our community, and the better angels of our own nature.

That is the heart of Good Neighbor Day: not just celebrating service as an idea, but practicing it with our own hands.

Please follow Bridge To Hope’s lead this Saturday and volunteer to help.

Thank you to everyone who showed up for Stamp Out Hunger on Saturday. 💜

To the letter carriers who collected food along their routes, thank you.

To the volunteers who sorted, lifted, carried, organized, answered questions, moved boxes, and kept things going with good humor and generous hearts — thank you.

To our Bridge To Hope staff, partners, neighbors, and every household that gave what they could, thank you.

Stamp Out Hunger is such a simple, beautiful idea: neighbors leave food by the mailbox, and letter carriers help get that food to local pantries.

On Saturday, we saw that idea come to life.

We know this is a harder season for many families. People are stretched. Grocery bills are heavier. Time is tighter. The need is real.

And still, people showed up.

From all of us at Bridge To Hope, thank you for helping us support this year’s National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

We are grateful. We are encouraged. And we keep going — together.

Because Love Does. 💜

There is no greater force in the world than a Mother’s Love.

Today, we honor all mothers, especially those whose tender love and care reaches beyond their own front door.

The mothers who raise children, comfort elders, encourage neighbors, show up for schools, serve in churches, volunteer after long weeks, and quietly help hold communities together.

Much of that care is unseen.

It happens in early mornings and late nights. In rides given. Meals shared. Calls returned. Forms filled out. Tears wiped away. Prayers whispered. Hope kept alive when life feels heavy.

At Bridge To Hope, we see the strength of mothers every day.

We see mothers doing their best for their families with courage and grace.

We see grandmothers, aunties, caregivers, volunteers, and community leaders offering the kind of steady love that does not ask for applause.

And we are reminded that no one should have to carry so much alone.

That is why this work matters. Not because we have all the answers, but because a caring community can stand beside families with practical help, dignity, and hope.

To every mother, grandmother, auntie, caregiver, and woman of quiet strength who helps make our community more humane:

Thank you!!!

Your love is not invisible to us. In fact, it’s at the center of all that we do.

Happy Mother’s Day. 💜

We have to ask…

What is going on over there at ADP? 😊

This week, Bridge To Hope welcomed a second group of ADP volunteers, and once again, they showed up with kindness, energy, good humor, and generous hearts.

ADP gives employees time they can use to serve their communities, and these wonderful team members chose to spend that time with Bridge To Hope.

What an honor.

We are so impressed by a company that not only talks about giving back, but makes room for its people to actually do it.

And we are deeply grateful to every ADP volunteer who came out this week to help our neighbors.

To the ADP team: thank you for showing up, serving with joy, and reminding us that generosity is alive and well.

You are superheroes in our book.

Actually…

Hope Heroes! 💜

THANK YOU! 🙏
