“Music is the language of the Soul”

Voices of Heritage (VOH) is the in-house vocal company for the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. It is comprised of students between the ages of 8-17, that dedicate their Saturdays to learning various genres of music from Classical to Pop, Folk to Gospel, and Opera to Musical Theater.

Members are selected through two methods: letter of invite or through an audition process.

Letter of invites are obtained through participation of one of the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center’s Arts Academies, ie. After School Arts Academy, Winter and Spring Workshop or the Summer Arts Conservatory

The audition process takes place at the beginning of the school year. Candidates are required to prepare one musical selection that showcase their vocal abilities.
