Youth and community engagement are critical. Engaging youth fosters positive youth development by building a sense of belonging, life skills, and strong social connections.
Connections with peers, families, and communities are a major factor in driving positive
behaviors in our young people. SAMHSA

Primary prevention works, and it’s cost-effective. Prevention science draws upon disciplines
such as epidemiology, psychology, medicine, and neuroscience, and identifies and applies
evidence-based strategies that strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors at the
individual, family, and community levels. http://samhsa.gov/prevention-week

Mental Health Awareness Month is more than a campaign; it’s a reminder that healing, growth, and asking for support are all part of being human.

People are fighting battles no one else can see. A smile, a text, a listening ear, or simply showing kindness can make a bigger difference than you realize. It only takes one kind action to have an enormous impact.

Take care of your mind the same way you take care of your body. Rest when needed. Speak kindly to yourself. Reach out when things feel heavy

You matter. Your feelings matter.

Encouraging to open conversations and reminding people they never have to struggle alone.

📣Delta 8 & THC-A are harmful to our YOUTH📣

Join our CAMP coalition meetings every 3rd Tuesday at the Miami Public Library meeting room (or via Google Meet), to help us lower youth ma*****na misuse in Ottawa County‼️

“Gas station drugs” aren’t as harmless as they look.

Products like Delta-8, THC-A, kratom, and “7-OH” are often sold in convenience stores with bright packaging and names that appeal to younger audiences. But here’s the reality:

• Many are unregulated or loosely regulated
• Potency and ingredients can be misleading or inconsistent
• Some carry serious health risks, especially for youth
• Easy access doesn’t mean safe use

Parents—don’t assume these products are harmless just because they’re sold over the counter.
Take a moment to talk with your kids. Awareness today can prevent problems tomorrow.

If you have questions, reach out. We’re here to help.
