⭐️ Satin Fye for Board Member at Large (BMAL) ⭐️
Hi, my name is Satin Fye. I’m asking for one of your nine BMAL votes 🗳️ in the upcoming TWU Local 556 Union Executive Board Election. As a leader both on and off the jet, I inspire members to engage with our union and courageously challenge norms. My passion is uplifting those who need a voice to navigate the challenges we face today. I promise to bring this same energy to the boardroom. As an active Shop Steward, I fight for a just and fair workplace for everyone. A vote for me is a vote for progress.
I hold an MBA and have enjoyed a distinguished 17-year career in aviation, starting with Mesa Airlines in 2007, moving to Spirit Airlines in 2008, then to AirTran Airways in 2010, and proudly serving at Southwest Airlines since 2014. My commitment to community activism and unionism has been recognized through various accolades, including being named Crew Member of the Month in January 2016, and I have been dedicatedly serving as a Shop Steward since 2020.
I am the CEO of a nonprofit organization focused on teaching children about cultural aspects through travel, responsible for strategic planning and fundraising. Additionally, as a community activist and food justice advocate, I raise awareness about food inequities in my community and teach people how to garden. I am passionate about representing and advocating for my colleagues, utilizing my strong communication skills and deep understanding of union policies to make a difference. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I moderate the Fort Lauderdale informational chat and actively advocate for the rights and needs of flight attendants.
In 2023, I was appointed TA Education Captain, and in 2024, I took on the role of SAV Super Lead. These positions have showcased my strategic planning abilities and organizing significant union initiatives, with a notable highlight being the organization of the Worldwide Flight Attendant Day of Action.
Most recently, I’ve been appointed as a chair member of the satellite base committee. My ambition, leadership skills, and readiness to tackle new challenges make me a valuable asset to TWU Local 556. I am committed to making significant contributions in my role as a board member at large.
