Clothing Thrive We take your clothes and shoes that you no longer use, and make sure it gets directly into the hands that need it the most.

We are a group of Floridians dedicated to making our community a better place to live for those in need. There are many of our fellow Floridians that are struggling and desperately need our help. We take your clothes and shoes that you no longer use, and make sure it gets directly into the hands that need it the most, no middle man. We distribute clothes, shoes, bedding, books, water, etc.

This is William Henry Weatherspoon. We gave him the nickname "Boss Man" because when he talks, people listen. He's been our liaison in the downtown Miami area for years and we consider him a friend. Boss is homeless but he earns money here and there parking cars for Miami Heat games. I talked to him yesterday and told him we're coming down with a load of clothes for the homeless in the area. So if you have anything to donate, let us know. Happy belated birthday, Boss. See you soon. -MH

Yesterday, I was down around the American Airlines Arena about two hours prior to The Miami Heat's game 7. About two blocks west of the arena, I saw police on bikes and segways confronting homeless people. Some were sleeping, others not. I overheard a homeless man saying "You don't have to tell me twice". The police were telling the homeless people they had to move. To where, I don't know. I asked a homeless man what was going on, he told me "On game nights, we have to move". In a way, I understand what the Arena is doing. But imagine what a homeless person must feel like. Basically telling them "You're less than human and we don't even want to be bothered with looking at you"
