There’s a reason so many people come back to the 48 year after year.
The rush of trying to turn an idea into a film.
The inside jokes your team will be talking about for months.
The moment your film hits the big screen and the audience reacts to something you created together in just one weekend. Let’s make a film!

And who knows where your film could lead.
🏆 All city winning films go on to screen at our international film festival, Filmapalooza (next year in beautiful Curaçao)
The top films screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner.
Every year, 48ers experience industry success—including 2 of our filmmakers whose feature screened in competition in Cannes this year!

But beyond all of that, the real magic is the weekend itself: making something under pressure, surrounded by people who love filmmaking as much as you do.

Does that sound like something you want to miss out on? No, right?
See you at Kickoff 😉

🚨TODAY is the LAST Day to Submit Your Short Film to The Florida Filmmaker Showcase 🎬 The Local Festival With Global Reach click here to submit
🎥 https://filmfreeway.com/ArtsAcceleratorFilmFestival
Most festivals provide something valuable: recognition, exposure, networking, and laurels. And for many filmmakers, the journey stops there.
⭐️The Florida Filmmaker Showcase was created to help close the gap between "Official Selection" and a potential path to market.
Selection is based on market viability, professional ex*****on, and audience potential. Selected films may then be packaged, marketed, and presented to industry professionals and distribution opportunities.

And with only 1 DAY LEFT, the window to submit is closing fast.

WHY THIS SHOWCASE IS DIFFERENT
1. Your Film Is Seen by Industry Professionals Who Understand the Market
Our judges bring experience from across film, television, production, distribution, and the entertainment industry.

If your film is selected, it has the opportunity to be seen by people with real industry experience and insight into what connects with audiences and the marketplace.
But you have to submit before the deadline.

2. Give Your Short Film a Chance to Keep Working for You
How many short films have you made that ended their journey after a few festival screenings?
The Florida Filmmaker Showcase is designed to explore a different possibility.
Selected short films are packaged into a feature-length anthology created for distribution and presented to global streaming opportunities, including platforms such as Tubi, FilmRise, Amazon Prime and others, where available and accepted.

If selected for the anthology, filmmakers receive the opportunity for:
Inclusion in the feature-length Florida Filmmaker Showcase anthology
Professional promotion of the anthology and participating filmmakers
Potential global streaming distribution
Potential revenue sharing under a non-exclusive distribution agreement
Continued ownership of their individual films
Yes—you still own the rights to your film.

This is about helping your work reach beyond a single screening and creating the potential for your film to continue finding audiences.

3. We Want Audiences to Meet the Filmmaker Behind the Film
Your film can make an impression.
And so can you.
Every filmmaker selected for the anthology receives a professionally produced, on-camera interview integrated into the feature.
That means audiences don't simply watch your work.
They get to meet the person who created it.

THIS IS MORE THAN A SCREENING. IT'S AN OPPORTUNITY FOR MOMENTUM.
We will select approximately 5–6 professionally produced short films with the potential to work together as part of a single, market-ready feature-length anthology.
The anthology—and the filmmakers behind it—will be showcased before live audiences and industry professionals.

EVENT DETAILS
📅 Event Date: September 26, 2026
📍 Location: Fort Lauderdale, Florida
But first...
Your film has to be submitted.

AWARDS & OPPORTUNITIES
🏆 Official Selection — Distribution Package
Selected films receive the opportunity for:
Inclusion in the feature-length Florida Filmmaker Showcase anthology
A professional on-camera filmmaker interview integrated into the distributed feature
Potential global streaming distribution through platforms such as Tubi, FilmRise, and others
A non-exclusive distribution and revenue-sharing opportunity
Full ownership of your film remains with you
🏆 Grand Jury Award — Best Film
Chosen by industry professionals and veterans based on professional ex*****on, audience potential, and market viability.
🏆 Audience Choice Award
Chosen by the live audience—giving you direct validation from the people watching your work.

YOUR FILM DOESN'T HAVE TO STOP AFTER YOUR FESTIVAL RUN IS COMPLETE.
It could find a larger audience.
It could introduce you to new industry professionals.
It could become part of an anthology built for continued distribution opportunities.
It could be the project that helps create your next connection, collaboration, or opportunity.
But you won't know unless you put it forward.
