Our Conservatory program offers young actors, singers, and dancers, ages five and up, professional training and prepares them for higher education performing arts programs and a professional career. To date, 4,000+ ASC students have received training in acting, singing, dance, design, and technical theater, performing in, and helping stage over 160 productions. Over 500 ASC students have gone on to university theatre programs and professional careers on Broadway, in national tours, and in acclaimed regional theatres, and every single student who has auditioned for a performing arts school has been accepted, including prestigious Miami performing arts school New World School of the Arts, Boston Conservatory, NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Carnegie Melon, and Julliard. Notable alumni: Oscar Isaac, Paul Tei, Chaz Mena, Tanya Bravo, Broadway Set Designer Frankie Oliva. An education at ASC is meant to instruct, not only in the performing arts, but also in social, communication, and emotional intelligence skills. ASC is a unique program in the South Florida area, as it provides one of the only true "arts conservatory" environments where students train at such a high and varied level, their instruction covering a wide scope within the realm of the performing arts, and serving students who represent Miami's unique cultural diversity, including students from economically challenged neighborhoods and families. The program is crucial to developing a local legacy of professional-quality theatre artists who will perpetuate a standard of excellence in the performing arts in Miami.
