Notice: General Assembly and Board Elections – June, 20th 2026
Dear Directors and Representatives of the Spiritist Centers affiliated with the Spiritist Federation of Florida.
As approved at our last General Assembly, we inform you that, on an exceptional basis, the next General Assembly will be held together with the elections for all positions of the Board of Directors of the Spiritist Federation of Florida on June 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM (Eastern Time). The Board positions are described in ARTICLE IX – Officers/Directors of the Federation’s By-Laws (see attached document).
On the same occasion, elections for the Audit Committee will also take place, in accordance with the Federation’s By-Laws. As stated in Article X, the Audit Committee shall be composed of three members elected at the time of the general Board elections, with a term of three (3) years, and they may be re-elected.
The Committee is responsible for meeting twice a year, prior to the General Assemblies, to review the financial statements to be presented, as well as, when necessary, to examine the monthly statements of revenues and expenses.
The elected Board will officially assume its duties on January 1, 2027, beginning a three (3) year term. Until then, the current Board will remain in office, ensuring continuity of operations through the end of 2026.
We kindly ask that delegates from the Spiritist Centers, duly appointed by their respective Boards, indicate, if they wish, their interest in running for a position by specifying the role they intend to apply for. This will be considered a formal expression of candidacy. The deadline to submit this expression of interest is June 1, 2026.
The election will be held via the Zoom platform, with secret voting enabled through the system. Detailed rules and procedures for the electoral process are described in the attached document, in accordance with the Federation’s By-Laws.
