The Village of Allapattah, which was established in 2010, is a unique concept that combines affordable housing with a YMCA Family Center and Preschool. Community members from all parts of Allapattah can be a part of the Y through membership, youth and teen programs and sports, senior activities and the onsite preschool. The housing portion of the Village of Allapattah features a 12-story tower fo

r families and a 9-story tower for seniors. Designated as affordable housing, the Carlisle Development Group and Biscayne Housing Group have built and now offer the one, two and three bedroom apartments with rents affordable to families and individuals earning between 33% and 60% of the area medium income.

Cada familia merece un vecindario donde pueda prosperar—sin importar su origen o apariencia. Cada voz importa.

Las comunidades saludables se construyen con buenos empleos, escuelas públicas sólidas, vivienda estable y recursos locales accesibles.

Eso es lo que la gente de Allapattah merece. Por eso, Miami Workers Center, Power U Center for Social Change y el Village of Allapattah YMCA Family Center YMCA se unen para organizar la Asamblea Popular de Allapattah el 20 de junio.

La Asamblea Popular de Allapattah es un espacio de colaboración donde las familias trabajadoras que viven y laboran en el vecindario pueden abordar los desafíos de salud y vivienda asequible. 🧡 That is what the people of Allapattah deserve, and why we’re excited to announce that Power U, Miami Workers Center, and Allapattah YMCA are coming together for the Allapattah People’s Assembly on June 20th.

🔥 The Allapattah People’s Assembly is a space where working families who live and work here can build the strength to tackle issues of health and affordability together. Neighbors will come together to talk about what’s going on in the neighborhood, share resources, find community, and actions they’re taking to create solutions. And it wouldn’t be the same without you! We’re uniting as a community to put working families first, not greedy developers or corporations.

Eso es lo que la gente de Allapattah merece, y por qué nos entusiasma anunciar que Power U, Miami Workers Center y Allapattah YMCA se unen para la Asamblea Popular de Allapattah el 20 de junio.

La Asamblea Popular de Allapattah es un espacio donde las familias trabajadoras que viven y trabajan aquí pueden construir la fuerza para abordar juntos los problemas de salud y accesibilidad económica.
