Jeffrey E. Harrison and Rick L. Harrison are brothers and both veterans. They are committed to raising awareness for dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and depression. It is well known that mental health plays a large role in society today. As society grows more complicated, our ability to cope becomes less effective. Just like physical health, mental health can be negatively affected by involuntary causes. Rick and Jeff’s father, William Harrison, was severely impacted by Dementia near the end of his life. While he did receive care and some treatment, there was not much that could be done about his situation. With a raise in awareness of mental health issues such as this, there may be something that can be done in the future for people who face a similar crisis. Join them as they blog and make updates about their walk that begins in January 2019, starting in Florida and ending in Washington. Thank you and remember that anyone you know could be struggling with mental health. It’s important that everyone gets the help they need!
