Great leadership is often measured in the experiences it creates for others and this summer, Christopher Richardson exemplified exactly that.

As Managing Director for Teach For America Tampa Bay’s Leadership Development, Chris led Summer Practicum with remarkable vision, precision, and heart. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, from the daily logistics and learning experiences to the culture he intentionally cultivated. The result was an environment where corps members felt supported, challenged, and inspired to become the educators our students deserve.

What makes Chris’s leadership so impactful is his unwavering commitment to excellence and his genuine investment in people. The countless hours he dedicated behind the scenes created an unforgettable experience that will continue to shape our newest corps members long after the summer ends.

As we celebrate 35 years of Teach For America, we’re proud to spotlight Demetria Geathers, a 2007 Charlotte corps member whose journey continues to inspire.

Today, Demetria serves on our Florida team in Leadership Development, where she pours into emerging leaders with the same passion, authenticity, and unwavering belief in people that has defined her career. Her personality and spirit are positively contagious, bringing perpetual joy, encouragement, and connection to everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her.
