Our current programs include the following:
Grow Program - serves elementary students preparing them for lifelong success through enrichment of their minds, bodies and hearts. Our engagement with the students begins after school with tutoring and homework help but continues with enrichment activities including: Summer Shade Camp, Recreational Activities, Social Skill Development, Mentoring and He
althy Meals and Snacks. The Branches Grow program serves over 200 children each year. Climb Program - serves middle and high school students focusing on the development of their individual assets in order to maximize opportunities to become better students and better people. Through the guidance and support of caring staff and volunteers, Branches youth are able to participate in: Academic Tutoring & Support, Life Skills, Service Projects, Oasis Spring Break Camp, Retreats and more. Branches youth are also able to take part in the Climb to College & Career initiative specifically focused on postsecondary success which helps to prepare and assist high school students to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors necessary for that next step after High School. Students are also eligible to apply for the Branches Climb thru College Scholarship. Achieve Programs β target the well-being of the entire community through services fostering financial wellness and long term success. Achieve programs take a 2 Generation approach towards serving families and individuals, and primarily provide assistance in Miami-Dade County. The following services are available to the community:
1.Financial Coaching at Branches offers free one-on-one personal financial coaching sessions with a certified financial coach to help individuals build their credit, build assets and achieve long-term success in life.
2. Micro-Business Program provides a broad range of complimentary business advisory services to help our participants tackle business challenges, achieve new levels of growth, and create jobs.
3. Branches Transportation Solutions provides transportation-related financial education to low-income families, helping them access affordable loans to purchase or lease reliable vehicles to meet their critical transportation needs.
4. Free VITA tax preparation offers free tax help to qualified individuals who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing.
5. Hunger relief services are provided through several local partner congregations who provide emergency food and other assistance to community members in need. These congregations are members of the Emergency Service Network (ESN). In addition to the emergency food provided through the ESN, Branches organizes an annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery which provides a hot meal and important resources to thousands of individuals in South Florida.
