My Kendale Lakes Neighborhood Organization We are a group of neighbors, simple, caring folk that wish to contribute something of value to Kendale Lakes. Join us.

Sometimes it's time, as when we clean up the common areas, sometimes it's trees, as when we donate the 2 yearly Adopt A Tree trees, but often it's just about sharing ideas, stories or casual comments regarding notes of interest within our community.

Reforestation of Lake Louise, Bald Cypress, Eastern Red Maple, Dahoon Holly, Live Oak and other natives are being planted all around perimeter of Lake Louise. 13 have been planted, 20 by year's end, 100 by end of decade.

ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION: A couple of blocks from Calusa Elementary the morning of on Calusa Club Drive. A young boy was approach by a person in a Black Tahoe wearing a back hoodie and blue work gloves who put his hand over the boys mouth and tried to pull him into his car. The boy said he was able to kick and pry himself from the person and ran. He said that he thinks they were scared off by traffic coming so he was spared. Please be on the lookout, he said he was in a black Tahoe with a smilie face emoji sticker in the back. This person is obviously brazen and unafraid to have done this at 8:00 am during morning rush hour traffic. If you hear or see anything, please contact the police, they have been notified and have been canvassing the area this morning. I have reported this information to the police.

Description of vehicle involved – Color: Black, Make: Chevy, Model: Tahoe, Other details: Smilie face emoji sticker on the back window of the car.

FYI there's a guy in the West Kendall/ Hammocks, Kendall area driving a small red pickup. He asks you for directions and then you notice he is ma********ng right in front of you. Couldn't get the tag number. From what I saw it could be
W40-DGL. He is wearing a white shirt and khaki shorts or pants.

Home burglary incident on Tuesday March 8th approximately 2:00PM. Home is on the 139th court block between 80th and 79th streets. Individuals entered through back yard and broke through sliding glass door of bedroom. We have a good record of low crime in our community. The best deterrent is to be alert and get to know your neighbors.

(IBR) Interesting Bike Ride this weekend. Route from Kendale Lakes to Zoo Miami. Head east on Kendall Blvd to 127 ave and head south to 144 st which is the 'end of the road', see photo of north and south heading rail road tracks. Cross the tracks and look for small trail in the cattails, go through these. At the other end you've reached the Deerwood development. Immediately look for 127 ave and follow it south. Within 1 mile or so you will come up on 152 street and two blocks from the Zoo Miami entrance. Pretty cool for a West Kendall bike rid.
