Happy National Zookeeper Week!
We want to celebrate the zookeepers around the world who show up every single day for okapi, from early morning enrichment to the quiet, unglamorous work that keeps these remarkable animals healthy and thriving in human care. Your dedication inspires millions of zoo visitors to care about wild okapi and the Ituri Forest.
We also want to give a special shout out to the AAZK chapters who have raised funds that directly support okapi conservation efforts in the DRC. Thank you to:
AAZKJacksonville (Jacksonville AAZK Chapter)
New York City AAZK nycaazk (NYC AAZK Chapter)
South Florida AAZK South Florida AAZK Chapter
Your fundraising reaches Eco guards, communities, and okapi in the wild. That's the power of zookeepers, and we are endlessly grateful.
To every keeper reading this: thank you for your support, your knowledge, and your heart. Happy
