The future of medicine is being imagined — and built — at Hadassah. And you make it happen!

What if the future of medicine is already happening at Hadassah?

From artificial intelligence and personalized cancer treatments to organoids, robotics and advanced rehabilitation, the Hadassah Medical Organization is pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in medicine.

During a recent visit to Hadassah’s national headquarters in New York, HMO Director General Prof. Yoram Weiss, MD, offered an inside look at the innovations transforming care at Hadassah hospitals in Jerusalem — and a glimpse at what comes next.

Among the advances: AI-powered medicine, patient-derived organoids that can help identify the right treatment faster, robotic surgery, CAR-T cell therapy, theranostics, 3D printing and a growing partnership with some of the world’s leading healthcare and technology companies.

But for Prof. Weiss, innovation isn’t only about technology.

It’s about people. Healing. Teaching. Collaboration. And building bridges.

Hadassah hospitals treat approximately 1 million patients each year, serving one of the world’s most diverse populations. Physicians, nurses and researchers from different backgrounds work side by side, while HMO continues to train the next generation of medical professionals and share its expertise around the world.

The future of medicine is being imagined — and built — at Hadassah.

🎉 Hadassah celebrates today and every day!

At Hadassah, we believe in the power of women to lead, inspire and drive change.
On Women’s Equality Day — and every day.

Today marks the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment, which enshrined women’s right to vote in the Constitution. And it’s thanks to US Rep. Bella Abzug — outspoken feminist, Zionist and a Hadassah member — that Congress ratified the annual commemoration of Women’s Equality Day, a time to revisit this milestone and take stock.

Together, we are Lifechanging. 💙

Hadassah National President Carol Ann Schwartz invites you to look back at a year of extraordinary impact in our 2025 Impact Report: Hadassah Lifechanging.

From Israel to the United States and around the world, Hadassah women, members, donors, volunteers and staff came together to make a difference.

In 2025, we:
✨ Inaugurated the most advanced rehabilitation center in the Middle East
🇮🇱 Responded immediately to the Iranian missile attacks on Israel
🔬 Advanced lifesaving research, including groundbreaking precision immunotherapies for cancer
👩‍⚕️ Advanced women's health and medical innovation
🎓 Gave young people in Israel tools and experiences to help them thrive
🕯️ Sent youth to Poland on a journey of remembrance
📣 Sent 56,000 letters to policymakers, raising our voices for Israel, against antisemitism and for women's health
💙 Brought Hadassah's mission to life in more than 600 chapters and communities across the United States

And that's just part of the story.

As Carol Ann says, “Together, we worked to build a better future. Together, we made a difference. Together, we were Lifechanging.”

For Israel. For women. For everyone.

Hadassah is for multiple myeloma patients!

Hadassah is for multiple myeloma patients!

He had bought a ticket to Switzerland to end his suffering. Then Hadassah gave him a reason to tear it up.

For years, this man with multiple myeloma endured debilitating pain and severe itching. Conventional treatments had failed, and relief seemed out of reach.

But Dr. Yuval Tal, director of the Allergy and Clinical Immunology Unit at Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem, saw another possibility.

“The failure of standard treatments did not mean that all options had been exhausted.”

Dr. Tal and his team looked beyond the usual treatments and focused on the biological mechanisms behind the patient’s symptoms. Their approach led to an unexpected treatment: omalizumab, an antibody therapy typically used for severe allergies and asthma.

Within weeks of three injections, the patient’s pain and itching improved dramatically. He was able to reduce many of his pain medications — and most remarkably, he tore up his ticket to Switzerland.

A treatment that began with a question became a new reason for hope.

At Hadassah, when one path ends, our doctors keep looking for another.
