It is our humble honor to share with you that a check for US$3,200 is on it's way from your Miami Chapter to Philip Liu for AOLJA from The Bridge 4 Peace fundraiser at Coral Gables High School.

Big thank you goes to Coral Gables High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), the IB Program, Gene Liu, Jessica Roman, Sylvie Cuesta, and all of the students & sponsors who gave generously of their time & donations to make the event a success & to Teresa Liu for delivering the check safely.

The money was raised to support the purchase of tables & chairs & other educational equipment & supplies for the May Pen Hospital Pediatric Unit learning center.

We thank AOLJA for allowing your Miami Chapter this opportunity to help support the incredible work being performed by big Angels for the precious little Angels.

Said goodbye to family last night. Pulled out from home 5:45am (kids choice), reached bus station 6:15. Kids & luggage on bus. Ready to roll to Montego Bay!! Should get there 10:40 to enjoy the day!!!

Had to stop on the way home to stock up on jerk pork & chicken. Everyone helped to tackle a pound of pork while we waited for the rest of our order. Tomorrow, we're off to introduce this group to the incredible staff & children at May Pen Hospital courtesy of Camile Darby.

The group stared sorting the 9 suitcases of donations brought this trip. Some will be presents for the Little Angels. Some will go to the hospitals. Some will be sold at the Bazaar to raise funds to benefit the Angels.

Anthony Concia, Deanna Breiter, Jessica Roman, Lukas Georgatos, Nico Rivero, Orso Raymo landed in JA. After stopping for some Juicy Patties, we visited many of our little Angels in University Hospital of the West Indies. We had a brief tour of Bustamante Hospital then visited Angels Ashley, who was sitting up today, & Dejeané, who has a smile to light up the world.

Had our last get together today before Gene Liu, Anthony Concia, Deanna Breiter, Lukas Georgatos, Morgan Owens, Nico Rivero, & Orso Raymo go to JA with teacher Jessica Roman & chaperones Peter & Gail Liu for their AOLJA experience. They will get to know incredible JA & the wonderful work of AOLJA as they volunteer for 9 days.

So sad to share that little Angel Jafari passed away. Now, he's happy, pain free and running and laughing with the angels. We, who are left behind, are saddened by our loss. We are also blessed that you made it so that we were able to be a small part of the journey of this little dynamo. For all that he went through, he brought smiles to our faces and joy to our lives with his energy, inquisitiveness and infectious laugh. Oh how I remember those twinkling, darting eyes above his mask.

He will live on in our hearts.

Please give our deepest sympathy to his family and to all of his AOLJA friends. We pray for strength and support to help them with their loss.

Special prayers are needed for 3 of our little angels: Jafari Forte and Ashanti Knight, who are at Bustamante Hospital for Children and Latesha Nesbeth, who is at KPH. All 3 little Angels are in critical conditions. we ask you to join us in sending love & prayers to our little angels, their families and their health care providers.

Our goal is to fill 14 big suitcases, by June 15, w/ things our little Angels (& families) desperately need. We have 3 so far. Please help us collect & spread the word for donations: clothes & sheets (which aren't given at hospitals), toys, books, crafts, educational items, school supplies, electronics, laptops, dvd players & dvds, video games & devices, cell phones ..., virtually anything usable that will go in a suitcase.
Help collect -- spread the word -- greatly appreciated.
Monetary donations are also wonderful & will go towards life saving pain & cancer medications, surgeries, chemo ports, etc
