Q***r Joy As Resistance — a community luncheon conversation on faith, belonging, healing, and the power of being fully alive. 🌿✨
Too often LGBTQIA+ lives are reduced to stories of struggle and survival. But our communities are also filled with joy, resilience, spirituality, creativity, laughter, and hope. Together, we’ll gather in community to share food, reflection, conversation, and collective care with affirming faith leaders and community members committed to building spaces where everyone can feel seen, valued, and supported.
Featuring:
🕊️ Community conversation
🌈 Affirming faith leaders
🍽️ Lunch & fellowship
💛 Wellness and safety resources
🤝 Opportunities for connection and collective care
Because joy is more than celebration — it is resistance.

A court date can change someone's entire future.
That's why we’re raising the alarm about Mega Master Hearings and what they could mean for people navigating the immigration system. If your immigration hearing has been rescheduled, make sure you understand your options and get legal support as soon as possible.

A federal court just delivered a major victory for people from 39 countries who have spent years following the rules, building lives, and waiting for the chance to move forward.

The court made it abundantly clear that people cannot be pushed into legal limbo simply because of where they were born. Seeking asylum is a legal right, and the rule of law must apply equally to everyone.

Today belongs to the families who never gave up, the communities who stood beside them, and the people who kept believing that fairness would prevail.

More than 350,000 Haitians with TPS across the U.S. are our nurses, teachers, caregivers, coworkers, friends, loved ones, and neighbors. They built their lives here, following every rule they needed to follow, and yet, they face being sent back to a country still facing a severe humanitarian crisis.

A federal judge found the administration's attempt to end Haiti TPS was motivated by racial prejudice, and the House has already passed a bipartisan bill to extend protections. Now the Senate must act.

Call your senator today and urge them to vote YES on Haiti TPS. Find your senators and a call script at flic.org.

📃 For decades, Floridians navigating our complex immigration system have been able to apply for a green card from inside the United States. A new USCIS policy doesn't automatically end that process, and DHS says most applicants can still remain in the country while their case is pending.

Advocates warn the change could make the process more difficult, slower, and less predictable for some families.

On February 18th, federal immigration agents detained Juan Chavez Velasco on his way to deliver milk to his premature newborn in the hospital. He had filed his DACA renewal in November. USCIS has not processed it.

End the detention of DACA recipients and all immigrants. Delays and uncertainty make one thing clear: permanent protections are overdue!
