Friends of Biscayne Bay

Friends of Biscayne Bay The Friends of Biscayne Bay (FOBB) is a non-profit, citizen support organization whose purpose is to support the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves.

FOBB advocates for the bay, supports staff trainings and hosts educational and outreach events. The Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves consist of nearly 70,000 submerged acres that include the inshore waters and natural waterways connected to Biscayne Bay from the Oleta River in the north and the offshore waters of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, to the Card Sound Road bridge between the mainland

and northern Key Largo, with Biscayne National Park removed. The Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves work to protect the valuable resources within the bay, such as seagrasses and manatees, by forming partnerships with other stakeholders, participating in community-wise special events, hosting service learning students and interns from local colleges and Universities, removing marine debris, and performing habitat restoration.
