90 days of Florida heat, rains and floods… and we still showed up… everyday!
Welcome:
10 new food donors
7 new Receiving agency partners
25 new volunteer food rescuers!

Together we are feeding Miami Beach, Miami Dade and Broward and refilling pantries, homes and tummies. ❤️

We use a simple app to track all rescues by pounds, meals and CO2eq offset so anyone can join us as a food donor, RA and Volunteer.
And help feed people and take climate action.🌎

This weeks Donor Link restaurant rescues at MILA Miami Beach and Papi Steak!
Every week we recover surplus food from area restaurants and deliver locally to homeless shelters, soup kitchens and for local community meals.
Hunger is real.
It’s not food waste… it’s wasted food.

Using our Food Rescue US app X Toast POS system, chefs can record donations and we assign a volunteer rescuer to pick and deliver.
Sort of Door Dash for Donations!

Simple, easy, and tax deductible and NO liability to food donor as protected under the Federal Bill Emerson Act.

It’s the last 2 days of Food Waste Prevention Week and I am honored to be featured as a Food Hero!
Thank you Joanna Polinsky Berens for nominating me and our amazing work at FoodRescueUS-SoFlo!
This week alone we rescued over 50,000 pounds of food from grocers, restaurants, hotels and even pallets of coconut water from a local distributor.
We collaborated with Mayor Eileen Higgins and Farm Share on a free Food Distribution and rescued and hosted a Community Day at the new CAVA in Doral.
Every week should be Food Waste Prevention Week!

Our first collab Farmers Market with Mayor Eileen Higgins and farmshare was a success! 💙🧡
We were able to provide the fresh produce, eggs, salad and prepared “grab & go” to enhance the free grocery bag provided by Farm Share of a frozen chicken and some rice and beans to complete a heathy and nutritious meal.

Sometimes it takes “thinking outside the box” collaboration to build a better food system and expand hunger relief. We are better together!

Thank you Mayor Higgins, Luis, Jasmine and Taylor for inviting us to partner!

Hundreds of freshly prepared, healthy, fast casual bowls were donated for local residents in Doral and we were honored to work with Lorna and the team all week!
