As America marks 250 years, it's worth asking: What tells the story of a nation?

Its art and culture.

For generations, artists have captured our triumphs, our struggles, our diversity, and our dreams. The arts are more than entertainment—they are part of our national identity and a powerful economic and civic force.

At a time when support for arts and culture faces increasing challenges, this anniversary is a reminder that preserving our creative legacy requires more than celebration, it requires commitment.

Today, we celebrate the artists, cultural organizations, educators, and advocates who ensure the next chapter of America's story continues to be written.

Happy Independence Day!

✨ That's a wrap on the 2026 Maximizing MAMP Series! ✨

Today, we closed out this year's series with an inspiring and thought-provoking conversation led by Luna Palazzolo-Daboul, founder of Tunnel Projects. Through an honest look at her ethos as both an artist and the operator of an artist-run space, Luna invited us to rethink what it means to build a sustainable creative practice. We explored the economics of necessity: how artists adapt, lead, create opportunities, and ultimately sustain themselves and one another in an ever-changing creative landscape.

As we reflect on this year's Maximizing MAMP Series, one thing is abundantly clear: our creative community is strongest when we learn together.

To every artist, arts administrator, marketer, entrepreneur, and cultural leader who invested your time in growing your skills, expanding your perspective, and strengthening your practice—thank you.

To our incredible speakers, Neysa King, Tyne Turner, Gabriel L. Valdes, Annette Malkin, and Luna Palazzolo-Daboul, thank you for sharing your expertise so generously. Your knowledge, honesty, and passion equipped our community with practical tools and new ways of thinking that will continue to have an impact long after these sessions have ended.

To our volunteers, board members, and dedicated Arts & Business Council of Miami staff—thank you for the countless hours of planning, coordination, and behind-the-scenes work that made this series possible.

And to the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, thank you for your continued investment in our creative community and for making professional development opportunities like MAMP possible. Your support helps strengthen the artists, organizations, and cultural leaders who make Miami-Dade such a vibrant place to live and create.

As one chapter closes, another begins.

We're already looking ahead to MAMP 2027 and are excited to continue creating meaningful opportunities that empower artists, strengthen organizations, and support a thriving creative ecosystem.

Thank you for being part of this journey. 💙🎨

Participants will gain valuable insight into avoiding common pitfalls, leading with intention, and building a career that can grow alongside their vision.

Today's Maximizing MAMP session on Brand Identity & Positioning with Annette Malkin was nothing short of phenomenal.

Together, we unpacked the Brand Iceberg, examined the critical difference between brand identity and positioning, identified common branding mistakes, and discussed why consistency is one of the most valuable assets in today's attention economy. Attendees also walked away with a comprehensive Brand Identity Worksheet and a 90-Day Brand Clarity Plan, practical tools they can begin implementing immediately.

A heartfelt thank you to Annette for sharing her expertise and inspiring our creative community with such an insightful and actionable workshop. We're incredibly proud to bring learning experiences like this to artists, creatives, and cultural professionals across South Florida.
