Get ready! This June, we’re coming together for our 10th Annual ICP Care Walk/Run.

For the past decade, this virtual event has brought our community together to honor babies, support families, and raise awareness of Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy. And this year, we’re celebrating 10 years of showing up.

Whether you walk, run, take a moment outside to reflect, or simply donate, this event is for everyone. There’s no distance requirement— just a shared purpose.

Because awareness matters.

Today, on World Preeclampsia Day, we are honored to share Kristine’s story of navigating both Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy (ICP) and Preeclampsia. 💚💜

We join voices with moms and families around the world to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for safer pregnancies and better outcomes.

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication marked by elevated blood pressure and protein in the urine. If left untreated, it can progress to eclampsia, causing seizures and becoming life threatening for both mother and baby.

Research shows that patients with Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy are at approximately a 5x increased risk of developing preeclampsia, especially when bile acid levels are above 40 micromol/L.

Awareness matters. Listening to symptoms matters. Early monitoring and advocacy can save lives.

Thank you, Kristine, for courageously sharing your story to help others feel seen, informed, and empowered.

Do you still itch after pregnancy?

Our Patient driven ICP Patient Registry is interested in your experiences. So far, over 40% of ICP moms who have filled out surveys have itching after pregnancy.

The causes and reasons behind itching after pregnancy are not well known.

ICP Care is gathering data on Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy both during and after pregnancy! This information will help researchers and physicians improve guidelines for care during and after an ICP Pregnancy.

Please consider adding your information to our confidential Patient Registry at https://icpcare.org/icp-community/patient-registry/
