To be chosen amongst 29 other incredible women dominating their fields while taking pride in their excellence and passion. So thank you! I have enjoyed reading all the stories and have even learned more.

G.I.R.L will forever be apart of my life and story. A mission to bring true hope to anyone who has ever felt voiceless. Sharing my story and healing from my own story have been two different spectrums of the world but to see that one persons courage to believe in herself and break those chains that anchor you to fear of speaking up.

Since sharing my story I have been able to witness how important it is to face and approach ourselves. I’m thankful for those I’ve been able to reach and help. I’m thankful for an organization that focuses on educating around this huge monster.

I never imagined in a million years sharing my story but definitely never dreamed of being acknowledged for it. It’s a beautiful feeling.

I love each and every person that has helped me and believed in me.

Thank you and congratulations to all women who are doing amazing work.

Policy makers should be in the side of justice. Having conversed with victims, they would know how much this will delay any progress. 😥😥

A bill that would remove a requirement for offenders to register as a s*x offender after committing certain s*x acts with minors within a 10-year age difference is set to go to Gov. Gavin Newsom's desk after passing in both legislative houses.

In my many years talking to victims battling their s*xual abuse, I have never seen so much censorship. The stakes are high! Our children need us, need the survivors, need their families and their community to stand strong against it.
We must unite and educate. We cannot normalize the terror the victims go through. If you don't know how how to help reach out. ~C

How many times do you ever read an article that begins with this title?

As you take the time to read the article which is brief I want to share what I experienced reading it.

First and foremost to this courageous father- it was NOT your fault. I can understand how easy it is to self blame after sitting back and taking it all in. The would of’s, the could of’s especially when it happens to any of your children.

That’s irreversible but.....

As I read this article I must admit that I imagined such a heroic father.

A father who only thought of protecting his child.

This disgusting attack was not your fault.

The only people or people responsible are those who were involved in the crime.

I know bad on bad is not ideal.
Hate on hate
Retaliation and the list goes on but..

I’ve had more cases brought to my attention then I can count where a victim goes through this horrific act and then has the courage of a lion to share the information with parents but...

* are told they are not believed
* or the parents won’t even report the abuse
* or the parent does not take the event serious enough and allows the child to experience being re-victimized.

All I can say is wow.
What a father.

To this family who endures such a pain that will be with them for the rest of their lives on behalf of G.I.R.L - sorry 😢
