The Better Florida Foundation, in collaboration with Dade Medical College and the University of Southernmost Florida, are pleased to announce that we are once again hosting a holiday toy drive for the children in our community. Let’s make an impact this season and help give a child a memorable holiday. Please consider participating in this fun and rewarding event where those children that would normally go without can come and pick out the toy they most want. The last day to donate toys will be December 12.

This weekend, the FREE benefit Concert, WOODYSTOCK, returns to Peacock Park in Coconut Grove. Free admission! Enjoy amazing live music, food from local vendors, a beer garden and kids activities. The event supports The Woody Foundation, a local non-profit that helps people who have sustained spinal cord injuries.

Tylenol for Orphans in Haiti is in full swing! Hollywood Campus students and staff members are working hard to collect aspirin for the children being affected by the Chikungunya Virus. Keep up the amazing job! Don't forget, the last day to turn in items is Friday, June 6th!

Tylenol for orphans in Haiti. The Better Florida Foundation, in collaboration with Dade Medical College and the University of Southernmost Florida, will be collecting Children's Tylenol to send to Haiti as part of relief efforts for the recent Chikungunya Virus outbreak which has affected over 1,529 people. While rarely fatal, this virus can take several weeks - and sometimes months - to heal from. Help the children of Haiti today by donating new and unopened Children's Tylenol bottles at your campus. The last day to donate items will be Friday, June 6.

On Friday May 9th, 2014, we held a raffle at the Miami Campus for a Samsung 32-inch LED HDTV. Student Ruby Contreras picked out the winning ticket for Vince Vazquez. Congratulations Vince for making a difference in our community by supporting the Better Florida Foundation.

Raffle will be held at the DMC Miami Campus on Friday, May 9, at 4pm.

CONGRATULATIONS to Vince Vazquez from Chrysalis Health for winning the bike raffle at Friday's Giralda Under the Stars event. Vince will be paying it forward and donating the bicycle to a family in need. Thank you for donating to the Better Florida Foundation and for making our community a better place!
