Mother’s Day is a good reminder that it's not just human moms that sometimes need a little space. ☀️

In the park, American crocodile mothers are busy building nests and laying eggs. They carefully choose elevated nesting areas near water with the right conditions to help their eggs successfully hatch later this summer.

Because some nesting areas overlap with places people visit, we’re reminding everyone to slow down and keep your distance. If you spot a crocodile near a roadway or nesting area, keep moving and avoid doing anything that could disturb her or change her behavior.
