Today we celebrated the opening of Pages in the Park at Ruben Dario Park. πŸ’›πŸ“šπŸŒ³

What started as an idea over a year ago is now in four Miami-Dade County parks, giving children and families more opportunities to build early literacy skills while they play, explore, and spend time with outdoors with their families.

We are so grateful to everyone who helped bring Pages in the Park to life, and especially to the families who joined us today and will continue making this space their own.

We hosted an Early Childhood Literacy Training Session for Miami-area educators as part of READy, Set, Go! Miami!

The session gave educators hands-on experience with the READy, Set, Go! curriculum and practical strategies they can use to support early childhood learners and strengthen literacy development.

Together, we’re equipping educators with tools to help make reading, talking, playing, and learning part of everyday routines.

Parents are a child’s first teacher.

And some of the most meaningful opportunities to build literacy happen in the everyday moments at home.

Through Pages with Parents, we give families practical strategies, activities, and books they can use long after an event ends: during storytime, in the car, at the dinner table, or anywhere learning happens.

This past year, we had the opportunity to learn alongside and support so many families across Miami-Dade. And what we heard from them matters: they’re leaving with new ways to support their children’s literacy and plans to put those strategies into practice.

Because when families have the tools to support reading at home, the impact can continue well beyond the time we spend together.
