We're on a mission to Make Good Famous – so that people can find, follow and celebrate social impact leaders – and get inspired to drive progress themselves.

The Elevate Prize:
Every year, through our signature program, we champion 10+ social entrepreneurs for their impact and leadership. These leaders receive $300,000+ in unrestricted funding and resources like leadership development services, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities to help increase recognition and grow impact. The Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award:
Follow us on Instagram, where we award $10,000 in unrestricted funding every month to a grassroots organization nominated by our community. The Elevate Prize GET LOUD award is designed to fuel grassroots movements and organizers on the frontlines committed to collective action and building power among communities. The Elevate Prize Catalyst Award:
This award recognizes prominent individuals who are using their influence to inspire action (winners include Lizzo, Trevor Noah & Amal and George Clooney). Elevate Prize Catalyst Award recipients receive $250,000 in unrestricted funding to dedicate to a cause of their choosing. These partnerships create a bridge to traditional fan bases and tap into the world of entertainment to inspire more people and make more impact. Join us on our mission to Make Good Famous!

Season 2 of Elevate Studios’ docuseries — Executive Produced by and — follows four of our extraordinary Elevate Prize winners who are doing just that: taking on rising polarization, threats to civil liberties, and democratic backsliding around the world.

Our Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award is OPEN: Democracy Defenders!

Together with Kerry Washington and her production company Simpson Street - Executive Producers of our upcoming docuseries Nevertheless: Democracy Defenders - we’re looking for organizations, in the U.S. and abroad, working to protect, strengthen, and reimagine democracy.

As we see every day in the news, freedom isn’t guaranteed. It survives because people choose to defend it: by showing up, speaking out, and holding power accountable, even when silence would be easier.

That’s why this month we’re awarding $25,000 to one nonprofit defending democracy, whether through voter education and access, civic engagement, government transparency and accountability, press freedom, or the rights and institutions that hold it all together.

To qualify, organizations must be a 501(c)(3), fiscally sponsored, or a public charity with annual revenue under $1M USD.

It’s official: season 2 of our docuseries, Nevertheless: Democracy Defenders is launching this week!

We’re beyond honored and excited to share our official poster. Thank you to the incredible team at The Refinery for helping us bring this to life.

Our four-part docuseries showcases the changemakers on the front lines of protecting democratic values in one of the most turbulent political moments in modern global history. Each episode highlights an Elevate Prize winner: Hannah Fried of All Voting Is Local , Imran Ahmed of CCDH , Koketso Moeti of amandla.mobi , and Yordanos Eyoel of Keseb. So honored to share their critical work with the world.

We’re also proud to have Kerry Washington and her production company, Simpson Street , join us as executive producers for this season.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we recognize the importance of protecting and expanding people’s rights and freedoms; the same values at the heart of the stories we’re telling.

Meet the winners of our September Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award: Narrative Power for Social Change, Social Voices ! 🎉

Social Voices is a nonprofit civic media organization using solutions-focused journalism to inform, empower, and inspire systemic responses to Africa’s most pressing social challenges. This month’s winner was chosen alongside a review group made up of past GET LOUD winners (see below!) who reviewed our finalists and helped us select Social Voices together. We were drawn to Social Voices’ focus on trusted journalism in Nigeria and beyond, their work training storytellers within their own community, and their lens on storytelling that stood out in a strong finalist pool.

The Elevate community was all over NYC this week! 🗽💛

We spent UNGA/Climate Week catching up with some of our winners past and present, filming new episodes of Carolina Garcia Jayaram’s podcast “The Whole Point,” taking to Washington Square Park for some street interviews (watch this space 👀), and bringing people together at our Elevate happy hour.

And our winners were busy, too! Hannah Fried from and Sean Sherman (Sean Sherman ) took the stage at Fast Company ’s Innovation Festival, Tom L. Osborn of Shamiri and Michèle Traorè of Kabakoo Academies filmed content with our partners at ONE , and SO much more.
