The Elevate Prize:
Every year, through our signature program, we champion 10+ social entrepreneurs for their impact and leadership. These leaders receive $300,000+ in unrestricted funding and resources

like leadership development services, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities to help increase recognition and grow impact. The Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award:
Follow us on Instagram, where we award $10,000 in unrestricted funding every month to a grassroots organization nominated by our community. The Elevate Prize GET LOUD award is designed to fuel grassroots movements and organizers on the frontlines committed to collective action and building power among communities. The Elevate Prize Catalyst Award:
This award recognizes prominent individuals who are using their influence to inspire action (winners include Lizzo, Trevor Noah & Amal and George Clooney). Elevate Prize Catalyst Award recipients receive $250,000 in unrestricted funding to dedicate to a cause of their choosing. These partnerships create a bridge to traditional fan bases and tap into the world of entertainment to inspire more people and make more impact. Join us on our mission to Make Good Famous!

Nominations are now OPEN for our May Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award: Trailblazing Change in Africa! 🌍

This Africa Month, we’re collaborating with the iconic to launch our Elevate Prize GET LOUD Award to call on our collective, global audiences for this one-of-a-kind nonprofit award, which is driven entirely by public nominations on Instagram. Across the continent, local leaders and communities are building innovative, impactful solutions every day. But too many grassroots organizations still lack the funding they need to grow that impact.

That’s why this month we’re directing TWO $25,000 awards to where they’re needed most: to organizations doing critical work in communities across Africa.

Comment below to nominate an organization based anywhere on the African continent delivering vital work on the ground — whether through education, health, economic empowerment, environmental stewardship, gender equity, or any effort creating lasting impact 👇

🗓️ Nominations close Monday, May 11.

📌 To qualify, organizations must be a registered public charity in its country, a 501(c)(3), or fiscally sponsored with annual revenue under $1M USD.

is our Climate Solutions Elevate Prize GET LOUD winner! 🌱

A deeply community-based, intersectional nonprofit based in Philadelphia, helped to close one of the largest polluters in their city in 2020: the South Philly Oil Refinery. The closure represented a historic win for the communities most impacted by this refinery, and has now opened the door for the communities themselves to help reshape the future of the land.

Through community support and its Right to Thrive and housing justice campaigns, Philly Thrive is working to restore the environmental safety and security that these communities deserve after over a century of harmful pollution and inequality.

This year’s programming continued to showcase brilliant and big ideas from all over the world, and our Elevate Prize winners made a splash across venues and stages: 

📌 2023 Prize winner (and now Elevate governing board member!) moderated a powerful panel on the responsible and sustainable use of AI with 2026 winners .chopra, Krutika Ravishankar and

📌 2025 winners and Michèle Traoré joined 2026 winners and at The Sidebar to intimately discuss their work helping to reshape and build future generations across issue areas and geographies in a panel moderated by Elevate’s own Esther Wang!

📌 Worlds colliding: 2024 winner took the stage with our first-ever Elevate Prize Catalyst recipient  on the main stage for one of the buzziest conversations of the event.

📌Past and active Prize winners attended our second annual High Tea, where we brought together funders, partners, and collaborators to connect and underscore our commitment to building a global community.

The headline says it all. As nonprofit leaders and philanthropists, it’s our time to be courageous, not cautious.

In this new op-ed, Elevate CEO and Daphne Foundation founder encourage us all to continue to meet this unprecedented moment in our society with the tenacity and boldness that we all know is desperately needed. To reinforce what we shared in Elevate’s first-ever impact report last year, Carolina and Abigail are calling on our sector to unite and put these principles into practice - both now and for the long-term.

At Elevate, providing unrestricted funding to both nonprofits and their leaders is at the core of the work we do - and this trust-based philanthropy has proven to consistently amplify their visibility and organizational growth. Similarly, ’s Daphne Foundation backs and invests in community-led organizations to follow their lead and support their life-changing programs.
