NICU families usually go home with a discharge packet. That's about it.

Eat, Play, P**p, Sleep is our free monthly Graduation Orientation for NICU families navigating life at home. It's happening twice a month so more families can make it work, and our next orientation is next Tuesday!

We cover the four things your baby does every single day:
🍼 Feeding after the NICU
🧸 Play and milestone support
💩 ...BMs (yes, seriously)
😴 Safe, realistic sleep

Plus red flags vs. baby just being a baby, calming techniques, and medical costs.

First Tuesday of every month. 12PM + 7:30PM ET.

Discharge is not the end of the story, and every graduate deserves an alumni network. Comment ORIENTATION or GRADUATION ORIENTATION for the link to register.

It's Maternal Mental Health Month 💙 and we couldn't think of a better time to share this conversation.
On our latest podcast episode, we speak with Jacquesta Michel, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and NICU mom.

In Episode 51, she opens up about her birth story, her son’s NICU experience, postpartum planning, and why leaning into community can make all the difference after the NICU. 🎧 Comment 51 and we will send you the episode.

We're in the middle of something exciting over here, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

This month, NICU Alumni is raising $5,000, and every dollar goes directly toward reaching more families after discharge.

We're working to onboard 8 new hospital partners and replenish 5 existing ones, so that families leave the NICU with our materials in hand before they even get home.

Because that's when it matters most. Before the 2am second-guessing. Before the feeding trackers and the specialist appointments and the milestone moments that don't make it into the baby books.

We want to be there from the very beginning of what comes next.

If this work means something to you, we'd be grateful for your support. Send us a DM to join us!

You already know you can handle hard things.

The NICU proved that.

But handling hard things alone and handling them with people who truly get it - that's a completely different experience.

Community doesn't change what you've been through. It changes how you carry it. It's the place where you don't have to translate your experience or minimize what the NICU was really like. Where someone else in the room already knows what a brady is, what corrected age means, what it feels like to leave the hospital without the certainty you were desperate for.

That's what we built NICU Alumni for.

Not just resources. Not just information. We have tons of that for you... but also a place where NICU graduate families find each other… and realize they were never as alone as they felt.

💙 If you've found your people here, tag them below. And if you're still looking — welcome. You just found us.

Last week was filled with some big anniversaries for our family.

Seven years ago on April 10, 2019, we finally brought our second NICU grad home. Four years earlier — April 8, 2015 — we brought her big sister home.

Two different years. Two different NICU stays. One thing that kept being true every single time:

The NICU was the hardest thing we'd ever done. And then we went home… and realized we weren't done yet.

The first night without a monitor alarm. Keeping track of every bottle, every ounce, every diaper. The specialist referrals. The second-guessing every single decision.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, we realized something: as much as we couldn't wait to leave the NICU and be home, we could feel the gap. And we knew how meaningful it would be to create a space for others who felt that way too.

That's how NICU Alumni was born.

This month, we're launching a giving campaign to mark these anniversaries, and we'd love for you to be part of it.

Look out for more details soon.
