Join the South Florida Blue & White Family on Sunday, September 6th from 11 AM–7 PM at Hard Rock Stadium for an afternoon of FREE food, games, live music, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, and family fun before the big game!

The brothers of Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. extend our sincere appreciation to Brother Marlon Ferdinand, also known as P.O.W. (Power of Words), for sharing his incredible gift of spoken word during our Blue Tie Affair.

Brother Marlon’s powerful performance added a special element to our Celebration of Unsung Heroes, using his words, passion, and creativity to capture the spirit of the evening and leave a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.

THANK YOU TO OUR HOST, BIG LIP

The brothers of Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. extend our sincere appreciation to Big Lip of HOT 105 for serving as the host of our Blue Tie Affair.

From beginning to end, Big Lip brought the energy, personality, and professionalism that helped make the evening a tremendous success. He kept our guests engaged and helped make our 99th Year Celebration and recognition of our Unsung Heroes a night to remember.

As a special token of our appreciation, Rho Sigma Chapter was honored to present Big Lip with his very first Blue Blazer. It was a special moment that represented the relationship we have built and our appreciation for his continued support of Rho Sigma and the community.

ELEVATING THE BOND 💙🤍

The brothers of Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were proud to recognize the Area VI Zetas of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for their outstanding commitment to “Elevating the Bond” between Sigma and Zeta.

Under the leadership of Area VI Coordinator Ausline Perry, the Area VI Zetas have consistently demonstrated what true support, partnership, and Blue & White Family means.

Their presence and support were especially felt during the 2026 Phi Beta Sigma Southern Regional Conference in Miami, where they welcomed and supported our brothers and helped make the conference experience truly special. They continued that same spirit of support at our Blue Tie Affair, once again showing that our bond extends far beyond a single event.

BROTHERHOOD AWARD

During our Blue Tie Affair, the brothers of Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were honored to recognize Brother Andrew Brown with the Honorable Sidney McCray Brotherhood Award.

Brother Brown is an extraordinary example of dedication and commitment to our Brotherhood. Despite being blind and using a wheelchair, he refuses to allow physical challenges to keep him from being an active and committed member of Rho Sigma.

When it comes to chapter meetings, Brother Brown is often the first brother there. When it is time to pay chapter dues, he is the first to take care of his financial obligation. His consistency reminds us that Brotherhood is not simply something we talk about, it is something we demonstrate through our actions.

Brother Andrew Brown represents perseverance, loyalty, commitment, and an unwavering love for Phi Beta Sigma.

The brothers of Rho Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. were proud to recognize Dr. Nyree M. Washington, President of Dade County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., as the recipient of our Divine 9 Excellence Award during the Blue Tie Affair.
