aya, from the Myaamia Makerspace!! 🎨

This past weekend, we enjoyed a Clay Cup workshop taught by our wonderful friends from The Clay Cup — Jeff Jones, Donna Divine, and Cathleen Denise! ☕️

The slab style ceramics were created by pressing or scoring designs into a slab of clay. A template was then used to cut the clay and the cup was shaped. With a little more clay and water the bottom was sealed and handle added. At the end of the workshop all the pieces were sent off to the kiln to be glazed and fired! We can’t wait to see the final results.
