🌿 This Saturday, November 16, from 10 AM to 12 PM, we’re reactivating the Edible Garden at Verde Gardens! 🌱

Verde Gardens, a supportive housing community, empowers formerly homeless families to rebuild their lives. With the support of Camillus House, the South Florida Progress Foundation, and the Miami Trailblaz3rs, we’re launching the Happy Seeds Library and planting with families to grow a vibrant, sustainable garden together. 🌻

Let’s cultivate wellness, community, and a greener future for Miami. 💚

🌱 It is for the children and the most vulnerable populations that we continue to do what we do. At Eco Axion Initiatives, we believe in creating strong alliances with organizations that share our vision of empowering communities by providing the tools and resources they need to thrive.

Through our recent Garden Reactivation workshop at Camillus House Supportive Housing in Verde Gardens, we reconnected residents with nature and demonstrated how the land’s abundance flourishes when properly cared for. Our workshops go beyond sowing seeds and planting trees; we sow seeds of change and transformation.

Teach children to grow food, and they will never be hungry again. Teach them to care for the environment, and they will cherish and protect it for life. This two-hour workshop was an incredible experience, guiding residents in tending to their 8 raised bed garden. We can’t wait to see the wonderful produce that will soon be harvested! 🌿

🌱 Looking back at last spring’s activation of Verde Gardens, we can’t help but reflect on the positive strides we’ve made together as a community. This project, designed to rejuvenate garden spaces at Verde Gardens—a 145-unit supportive housing community for formerly homeless families operated by Camillus House—has become a beacon of hope and wellness. 🌿✨

The journey continues with new planting and workshops that empower residents with the knowledge to sustain and expand their garden. Together, we’re not just growing plants; we’re cultivating community resilience and well-being. Ready, Set, Grow! 🌻💚
