💙 Strengthening Our Commitment to Person-Centered Practices

Sunrise NHQ staff recently participated in a two-day Personal Outcome Measures (POM) training designed to strengthen our person-centered approach to supporting the people we serve.

The Council on Quality and Leadership's (CQL) Personal Outcome Measures (POM) is a process of discovery that helps identify the outcomes that matter most to the people we serve.

By listening to each person's goals, dreams, and aspirations, along with the people who know them best, we can provide meaningful supports that promote choice, independence, and valued lives.

At Sunrise Community, we remain committed to providing person-centered supports that empower the people we serve to achieve the outcomes that are most meaningful to them.

Connecting. Learning. Advocating. 💙

Our Sunrise Community team recently had the opportunity to attend the Family Cafe Resource Fair in Orlando, where we connected with individuals, families, and community partners to share information about the services and supports Sunrise Community provides.

Throughout the event, our team answered questions about our programs, explained the intake process, and helped families better understand available resources, including navigating the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). We also attended informative sessions led by APD representatives and state legislators, strengthened relationships with fellow service providers, and proudly supported talented artists from the IDD community by visiting their exhibits.

A special thank you to our incredible team from Multimedia, Government Relations, Community Resources, and Intake for representing Sunrise with compassion, knowledge, and collaboration.

💙 Welcome to South Florida, Jalisa!

We are excited to welcome Jalisa, Community Resource Specialist, as she transitions into our South Florida operations!

Jalisa has been a dedicated and compassionate member of the Sunrise team, making a meaningful impact on the persons supported and staff in Tallahassee. Her positive spirit, strong work ethic, and commitment to those we serve continue with her as she begins this next chapter.

She even shared a heartfelt poem as she said goodbye to Tallahassee, just one reflection of the care and thoughtfulness she brings to every space she’s a part of.

We are so glad to have her in South Florida and look forward to all the wonderful things ahead. Welcome, Jalisa! 🌟💙

Sunrise Community was proud to attend the recent Breakfast for Champions event, where persons supported enjoyed an unforgettable experience filled with excitement, community, and celebration. 💙

From receiving gift bags with raffle tickets to winning incredible prizes like autographed posters, Visa gift cards, trip vouchers and more, the event was filled with joyful moments and big smiles all around.
